This office smells like tacos. The doctor doesn't talk much and he had holes in my elbows of his…read moreshirt. People say that he is highly involved with his community which is great. Receptionist will always put you on hold.

Went to this guy for an issue with an ingrown toenail. This should have been a very simple,…read moreone-time procedure. Instead, it has been a nightmare. I went to his office the first time back in the Fall for a consultation, where he observed my ingrown toenail, said he would use a liquid that would burn away the bad part so that it wouldn't come back. Assured me it would go well. The next time I went, it was for surgery. He was extremely unclear with me about what was going to happen, leaving me very panicky. Assured me the surgery had gone well. I followed all of his post-surgery recommendations. However, about a month or so later, the side of my toenail was green underneath. I went back in, saying it was clearly infected. While sitting in the room, he proceeded to manually cut the side of my nail without any numbing or anything. He said this time it should go well, and to repeat the post-surgery recommendations. I did. However, I was still in excruciating pain. I had to return AGAIN for a SECOND surgery, this time to an office of his far away. He repeated the surgery, had me repeat the post-surgery recommendations. Things seemed well finally. He had me return to his office a week or so later to see how progress was going. He came in with another young doctor, clearly doing observations and learning from Carnevale. After Carnevale said it looked fine, I began heading to the waiting room to check out when I overheard him tell the young doctor that he had accidentally left a fragment of nail behind in the first surgery, and had not taken it out during the weird manual "operation" he did. The last time I saw Carnevale was back in December. It is now the end of May, and the SAME TOE, the SAME SIDE is ONCE AGAIN oozing pus, and has a green tone underneath. I am furious that a podiatrist has this much inability to perform a SIMPLE and ROUTINE operation on an ingrown toenail. He has caused me so much unnecessary pain, anxiety, and effort. I would rather cut my own toe off then to return to this horrible podiatrist. Not only is he incapable of simple procedures, but he has a terrible bedside manner, shakes a lot, and made me feel very uncomfortable. If you care about your feet, do NOT go to this poor excuse for a podiatrist. I have heard from others who have gone there that they have endured troubles similar to mine.
