I had the breakfast sandwich and there was a cold, pre-made scrambled egg patties inside with some melted cheese which was hot. Probably the worst breakfast sandwich I had in years. Not living up to the suspiciously high 4.5 stats here by a long shot. It's on the pier in a charming, wooden building - see pic. Located inside the Coupeville Wharf (Red Building). Such a cool vibe! Make sure if your a crocheter or knit to make a square for the community blanket they are making! There is a community yarn basket and guest book over by the fireplace and couch. They make their food from scratch! Watch all the boats coming in and going out, or if you were like me we were anchored out and brought in our dinghy to the dock. read more

Fantastic coffee, and history! Indigenous owned, this coffee shop is a wonderful place to learn about the local people and give back to their community, not to mention enjoy a delicious beverage like "Colonizers Tears," a salted caramel mocha with smoked sea salt on top. Every napkin holder tells you about a prominent indigenous person from that area. You are surrounded by art from local artists as well. A wonderful place to add to you stops in Coupeville. read more

The best thing about Coupeville Visited the island for the weekend and by far and away, encountering this gem was the best part of the experience. Forgot to snap a pic, but I got the Cuban Panini Sandwich. Decent sandwich that comes with chips and a pickle. It was pretty good, but fair warning - your hands will be covered in sauce. The bread was an interesting texture, similar to a biscuit. Cute location where you can look out to the dock or eat outside on a nice day. read more

You can't beat Beaver Tales for location--at the end of the wharf in "donwtown" Coupeville. You'll also get an eyeful of words and images about historical and contemporary indigenous culture. The coffee drink I had was well-made and the service was friendly. Seating is a little cramped but there are also picnic benches outside with great views of Fern Cove. The only downside, at least on the day of my visit, was that there was only one person working the counter and making the drinks, which made for a wait. I found the wait worth it. read more

Very cute location, in the coupeville wharf. Staff was friendly. I got a 16oz lotus & a bacon cheddar herb roll, the lotus was good, the roll was sort of dry and should have been warmed up but it was okay. Overall cute & quiet place. read more
