I was skeptical when 2 guys arrived in a car to remove 2 big trees in my yard but another worker showed up 15min later with a truck and trailer. After briefly talking to the owner Boston, he explained they were a new business on their 4th removal job trying to get their name out. He was a very professional young man and knew more about trees than I had ever known. I was quite impressed that he climbed and cut both trees from the top down with nothing but ropes, a chain saw and 2 guys on the ground who were lowering big limbs down with ropes. They couldn't quite get it all done in 1 day and came back the next morning to finish and cleaned everything up nicely. We had a tree fall in our house during a big storm. It was a100ft oak tree and it crashed through…read morethe roof. I called Elliot's Tree Service and they came out right away. Within four hours they had the tree off the roof. They worked with a crane and pulled it all off without adding to the damage. Josh Elliot told us due to the storm he was very busy and couldn't get to the cleanup for awhile. In the mean time we cleaned up and cut everything ourselves. The only thing left was the tree trunk and stump. He came over two weeks later and saw everything cleaned up. In fact he asked us if we had a card because he could use us because Nothing was left for him to do except the trunk and stump. He cut the huge trunk in two and loaded the pieces on his trailer. It was white oak so he was able to sell it to a saw mill. Here's where Is went south. We received a bill to give to the insurance company for $15,200! This included all the cleanup (which he did NOT do) We did all the cleanup and Elliots charged the insurance company full price even after we personally did all the cutting and cleanup!! Elliot's charged the insurance company for cleanup that he never did!! He does a great job but will gouge you on the bill and has no problem with padding the bill in an insurance job. We asked him directly if he could reimburse us or lower the bill to reflect all the work we did. Elliot's refused. Elliot's Tree Service does excellent work but has no problem with price gouging
