When I went looking for, what I call, blonde extensions with dark roots, as they call it, Ombre, I had to settle for the 1B27, because I was too impatient to let them order it and wait for the arrival. They are one of a few shops that carry a variety of blonde extensions, so I always end up buying my hair from here. Great shop, great people, great hair!

I went there this morning to purchase an item and when I got home, I realized I bought the wrong thing. I went back to exchange it, and as I was walking in, three young black men were also approaching. One stepped back and opened the door for me and then they walked in. As I'm at the counter making my exchange, the owner came out of nowhere (I hadn't seen him the first time I went) and rudely told the boys they needed to leave. I was the only other customer in the store. The owner told the young men that they had to leave because the sign on the door says, "2 students at a time". He was nasty about it. The "sign" on the door is literally a loose leaf piece of paper with some writing with a marker. He never told the young men that there were only 2 allowed in at a time. He simply told them to get out. This is where I jump in to defend the young men. It is Saturday. There was no one else in the store. They weren't bothering anybody. They genuinely looked confused. After a little back and forth between me and the owner, I told the cashier to refund me my money because if they weren't allowed to shop there, I wouldn't either. I told the young men to put back the one item they had and that we were all leaving and we did. The owner ran off to the back room like a coward. I left but I was still stewing, so I went back to confront him and recorded this time. LET'S TAKE A STANCE AND NOT SHOP THERE!!! I walked in last Friday to get my hair braided. I presented with a photo as a reference point to…read morehow I wanted my hair braided. The owner Rita assured me they could style my hair like what I showed her on the picture, her words verbatim were "we can do anything". I trusted her. She convinced me to purchase human hair for $120.00 per bundle, I purchased 2 bundles as recommended by her, she initially quoted me $160.00 per bundle, however that was a bit out of my price point so I declined, she took me next door to show me alternatives that weren't as expensive but insisted the $160 per bundle was better quality hair and would garner better results, I told her I didn't necessarily want to pay $320 for just the hair not to include the cost for braiding and tip, so she said she would give me a discount; $420 for everything (the "good" bundles (2) at $110 each and $200 for the cost of braiding). I'll attach pics and you can see for yourself why I'm highly disappointed. The braiders were awful!!! .. once I arrived home and inspected my hair I called Rita to let her know my hair was poorly done. She asked me not to return the next day (Saturday) because it was really busy and convinced me to wait until Monday to return and promised it would be fixed then, I told her I would be working Monday but could come after work, I obliged out of courtesy, however feeling defeated since I'd have to walk around with my hair looking sloppy for two days. I returned Monday after work only to be told there was no one there to do my hair and to return the next day. I must say Rita was pleasant and apologetic throughout this whole process but that wasn't good enough. The lady who called herself fixing my braids (one of the initial braiders) when I returned Tuesday didn't seem she was too happy that I returned, she huffed and puffed the entire time, she dropped combs and hair on the floor but proceeded to reuse those items in my hair, she yanked away at my hair, anyone could clearly look at my hair at this point and determine it was a sloppy job, and it was still sloppy if not sloppier when she was finished. Perhaps she didn't know what she was doing, perhaps she just didn't care, who knows!! ... now I've wasted approximately $460, oh because I forgot to mention that when I checked out they made me pay "tax" on the total cost since I was using a debit card. I've since then had my hair taken down which was another disaster. So see attached pictures and decide if you want to take the risk. They are horrible with human hair braids and that braider needs instruction on customer service as well as refraining from doing a style that she clearly doesn't know how to do.

I went here based off a friend's recommendation and these awesome 5 star reviews…read more I was severely disappointed. When I walked in, two women made eye contact, but no one spoke to me. After a few minutes, the woman who wasn't cutting hair approached and asked what I wanted. I asked for a haircut and she told me "about 15 minutes while I finish eating." No problem, it's walk ins only and while it was dead then, I understand it may have been super busy prior. So I sit and wait. Another employee enters the salon, coming back from her break. She immediately asks what I need, seats me and begins cutting. The first woman comes back and when my stylist asks why she didn't cut my hair, she replies "because she doesn't speak Spanish and I don't speak English." To clarify, no one had asked if I spoke Spanish. Even if I didn't, we easily could've worked together using photos or translation apps to understand. I understand that it's difficult to be out of ones comfort zone, but this was the prime environment to build a bridge. I love my haircut. I'm disappointed with the rest.

I needed my crochet taken out, my hair washed, and a new install of the crochet. She quoted me several hours and the price point was so reasonable. She required everyone wear a mask to abide my COVid-19,guidelines. Her assistant started me right on time and had me out in decent time to see my makeup artist. Although, It's a beauty shop/braiding shop, I brought my own hair off Amazon. Mimi does sell hair and she did like 3 clients while I was getting my hair done. She does a great job and is very fast ! The salon is equipped with dryers, sink, bathroom, salon stations, etc. They only accept Cash, Zelle, or Cash App. So, please be prepared as you can't use a debit or credit card as form of payment. The salon is in the back of the beauty salon. Ive been traveling to Maryland for the last 10 years to get my hair done. So, I'm so glad there is a beauty salon in Northern VA with reasonable prices!
