My hair was already blonde, so this was not a major transformation--just a tone/brighten and trim. However, I ended up sitting in the chair for 5.5 hours, which is far beyond what I've ever experienced for this type of service. Because it took so long, I had to leave before my hair was fully styled. While she quickly dried my bangs, I immediately noticed patchiness. When I asked about it, she told me it was leftover toner and would wash out. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. When I got home and fully dried my hair, there were visible patches and harsh lines throughout. It was bad enough that I couldn't wear my hair straight. I reached out and came back to have it corrected, but that experience was just as frustrating. She initially dismissed my concerns and said she didn't see what I was referring to. When I showed her examples, she became visibly irritated and did not communicate with me during the appointment. The fix (a wet balayage) took another 3.5 hours. Although it looked slightly better leaving the salon, once I washed my hair again, I noticed orange/red tones near my money piece and continued patchiness. In total, I spent about 9.5 hours in the chair and nearly $400 for a result that still needs correction by another stylist. While the business did issue a refund, it doesn't make up for the time lost or the additional cost I'll now have to pay to fix my hair. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst salon experiences I've had. The color result, communication, and overall execution was worse then a student in hair school, and even the haircut itself was not done well.
