I will tell you how disappointed I was with my appointment with Beautiful Me Hair Salon. First I found the ad listed on Craigslist as the "Best Blowout Salon on the Eastside" and advertised silk press or natural blowout as $30.00. I was excited to see a salon 30 minutes from me and with that incredible price. So I go on and book the appointment on www.beautifulmehairsalon.com and book it with the stylist for Wednesday, March the 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Shanta .When I click on day/time and Stylist l it pulls up $30.00
Low and behold I walk in, no one there but stylist. When I sit down she immediately tells me "Oh natural blow outs are $45.00". I look at her and I am disappointed that they are trying to rip me off. So right then I recheck the site from my phone and it does indeed say $30.00. She replies saying "Oh Kenya (who is the owner) must have ran that ad, but I charge $45.00. But when you go under the site and click the natural hair $30.00 her name (Shanta) pulls up as same price". I am really upset someone has done this to a customer. I go ahead and let her do my hair since I came all this way. She immediately does a shampoo and condition (which is super-fast) and not the best quality products as when she calms it out it not soft as when I go to my other stylist. Then I notice that when she started to blow out my hair she was not sectioning off as regular stylist do as my hair is long and thick. Well I notice that she didn't blow the hair dry all the way out and part of it was still wet..
Well I didn't say nothing I just felt it in the back and thought she was going to add more products to it. Well then she immediately starts to flat iron on my partial wet hair and absolutely "BURNED" my scalp. I hollered out and said "you burned my scalp, I told her don't do anything it hurts badly". She says "oh it just the heat of my flat iron". I tell her that was not heat that was you burning my scalp with flat iron, you didn't blow dry my hair all the way out. I asked her to put something on and she put HAIR WAX. What exactly would that do with hair way on a BURN?? Anyway, she burns my hair a couple more time. I was so so upset. When I left and came out side, she had did my hair in 50 minutes--yes that quick. I went to store that evening and purchased aloe vera to put on the burn on back of head. This morning I have a forming scab and decided to call the owner -Kenya . And you may ask, what happened next?...Well its 10:00 p.m. and the owner has not called me back at all. I will encourage people to be cautious when you choose a stylist, make sure she has the capabilities of doing natural hair, and ask about pricing BEFORE you walk in the salon/or have them do your hair. read more
