Living here was absolute hell. After moving in, we found there were a lot more issues in the townhome than we found when we did the walk through. We didn't cause an issue about these things as they were pretty minor (so we thought). We had a minor ant issue when we moved in that we thought we could take care of... as it got colder and then warmed back up, this issue got worse. We started finding ants EVERYWHERE. We decided to ask for help from Brian. Brian shrugged off this issue until I became irritated. I went to the office to show pictures and videos of what we were seeing in the office. Brian was not in the office so I used the outside phone to ask if I could speak to him. He refused to talk to me in person as I stood outside in the wind and pouring rain to frantically tell him I had found 1000+ ants trailing through our home. He finally brought the maintenance man to spray ant killer and lay out 5 traps. This did NOT work and when we let him know, he was irritated. He told me he would get Senske out asap. They NEVER came and the issue grew worse. The ants brought in bigger and scarier bugs.
As the birds began to hatch, there were baby birds that were dropping like flies around our carport. There were roughly 8-10 dead baby bird around our spot. I called to ask if Brian could send someone to take care of the birds since they were all over, absolutely disgusting, a little heartbreaking and we have a very curious toddler. I was told that no one was available that day to take care of them. I was very understanding since I had called about 15 minutes before the office closed... 2 weeks went by and no one came to clean up the birds. By this time the amount of dead baby birds had doubled. We cleaned them up ourselves...
We were great tenants... quiet, paid on time, came and went for work and school and always minded our business. This did not matter as we were treated like burdens the entire time we lived there (7 months).
When we moved out, we acknowledged the damages we had made. A small hole in the carpet that should have been replaced before we moved in and a small hole in the bathroom door that was made when moving something. We got our bill that said we had a $903 and some odd cents charge. This was to replace broken blinds that were taped when we moved in, to replace the carpet that was worn well before we moved in and this small burn and also the door...
The last bit of information I will leave you all with is when we found a place to move into, our new landlord called to get our rental information from Brian and he told them we had been late on rent a few times... this made me the most mad. We paid rent on time, EVERY MONTH. Not only paid on time but paid 3 months in advance. This is also easily proven to be a lie considering we have every receipt for rent and not one has a late fee on it.
This is just a small fraction of the problems we had here but the main issues that made living here so horrible.
If you have made it in this far, congratulations! But I really hope you NEVER choose to call this miserable place your home whether it's temporary or forever... you will truly regret it about a month in. read more
