My child has started at Bea's daycare at 1.5 years old and has been there for almost 3 years now. I decided to go with Bea during my search for a daycare 3 years ago was because she gave me this vibe that I can trust her with my child. Not to mention that one of the places literally told me they do not teach because this is NOT a school but simply a daycare and another place telling me I had to bring my own pack and play for my child to sleep in. With my initial visit at Bea's, she was very pro-active to see if she can hold and bond with my child. She genuinely cares about the kids like her family. I don't know how she does it but she has her ways for the kids to learn acceptable/unacceptable behaviors whereas if I said the exact same thing to my child, he would just throw a tantrum at me. I've highlighted a few areas that I thought Bea exceeded my expectations.
Food: Nutritious and delicious menu including, green (blended green veggies) pasta (that my child would ask for 2nd's), lentils, chicken fried rice, tuna pasta, chicken/turkey soup, various fruits for snacks and breakfast, waffles etc. There is a child who is allergic to eggs and she prepares his food in advance and separately from other kids' meals (superb service!).
Learning: My husband and I have not taught a single alphabet or number to my child and I was completely shocked that after joining Bea's daycare that he knew the alphabets, shapes, colors, counting numbers 1-30+, days of the week/months, spelling and writing his name, eat independently and she even potty-trained him.
Fun activities including:
OUTDOOR - Bea encourages sensory learning (examples include having a giant tub of sand with sand tools, uncooked pasta for kids to touch/feel). She has a small inflatable pool, the water hose/sprinklers on for kids to cool down and play during summer! My child had recurring ear infections so he was not able to participate in water activities when he was younger and Miss Bea is thoughtful enough to prepare a small tub of water for him to splash his feet in.
INDOOR - Daily circle time to learn alphabets, days of the week, shapes/colors and she even invited a music teacher (pre-covid) to play guitar for the kids to sing/dance. Her teaching method is very interactive and she knows how to go at each child's own pace. Each month, she has various art projects for kids to learn the month, special holidays and to fine tune their motor skills. Kids learned how to use crayons, markers, glue, and scissors (at the appropriate age and under strict supervision) throughout these daily activities. The most recent project that I extremely loved was an Christmas ornament she worked with my child to put together was a plastic elf snow globe that had my child's picture inside. It was super thoughtful and cute.
These are just few of the many examples why I love Bea's daycare, I am so glad I've decided to go with Bea and would consider it one of the best decisions in life! read more
