We actually ended up calling the police to make sure they were legitimate. It turns out that they are a legitimate company, but later, when I called the business, the man I spoke with was confrontational and hung up on me, saying that he didn't need to talk to me. He did call me back, but then LIED to me, saying he did ring the front doorbell, which he never did. The three people in our house--myself, my husband, and my daughter--did not ever hear the doorbell. The man also stated that because the gate to our backyard was open that he thought he could just waltz right onto the property and do what he needed to do. This company has disrespectful and horrible customer service skills, as well as deplorable business ethics. I would never, ever, recommend using Roger Fischer Tree Service to anyone.

Due to the very late spring and grass being dormant we asked to move us from first to a bit further down the list. Never heard from them again despite multiple calls regarding a date (turns out they put us behind 15 jobs). Finally heard from them a couple of days before they would come in mid-July, along with an email increasing their bid by another $800 more ($8982). When I reminded them we had booked in the Fall of 2022 for quoted rate, he blamed costs of materials, requesting to delay the install date. He would not honor his most recent quote which was in writing. We would have fired him due to the gouging anyway, but he withdrew doing the job at all. Fine with us. I didn't want him do it based on principal alone. Terrible customer service!! They should have an option for --5 stars
