I picked out what I wanted,…read more3 1/2 months before my event, was sent a contract, signed it and sent a check for my deposit. Didn't hear back from them for a while, so six weeks before my party I emailed just to make sure everything was on board. Again, didn't hear from them. as time drew closer, I emailed yet again, and called. Got an answering machine and left a message. I did this three times. Finally, I got a call back 2 weeks before my event. I was excited to take the call as I wanted to finalize everything. The woman on the phone was quite curt and cut to the chase. She said that they had sent me 2 Emails in the past week and hadn't heard from me. I had been checking my emails for weeks, including SPAM and bever found one from them. She informed me that they were booked for the date of my party. I was in shock! She said that since I didn't respond to their email...again, never received one, they shredded my check and canceled my contract. it was 2 weeks before my party with 50 people, and I had no tables and chairs. Mind you, they had my phone number for over 3 months, and never called. The woman on the phone was so cold and unapologetic, I was stunned. I've never left a review on YELP before, and I'm sorry to have this be my first.

My husband and I invited mostly family (including about 20 children) to our wedding so creating a family friendly environment was extremely important to us. We asked Bob to avoid songs with overtly sexual themes and not play anything referencing drugs or binge drinking. We also requested that he not alienate our older guests by playing too many top 40s. Despite having really specific criteria, we still wanted to have a fun night with a full dance floor and Bob did not disappoint - he played amazing oldies that everyone knew and loved. People were singing along and the dance floor was full the entire reception. Later in the night when people began requesting Taylor Swift and other newer artists he came and asked my husband and I if that was OK before he played it. He did a phenomenal job transitioning the party from oldies to contemporary and everyone loved it. Bob was amazing, created the exact environment we asked for, kept it fun the whole night, and I recommend him to anyone planning an event with music. He's the absolute best!!!

BP apparently is two women in the Lenox area who prepare delicious, gorgeous picnics on request for any special occasion. Ours was a picnic at Tanglewood before a concert. We arrived to find tables all set up and waiting for us (marked by a white balloon). The food arrayed before us included fresh, carefully chosen items including superior cuts of roast beef, chicken, prosciutto, salami and all kinds of appetizers and snacks and salads, and a chocolate cake for dessert. Add in wine, beer and water, and we had ourselves a feast. The tables included a lovely covering and a candlelabra and comfortable pillows around it. We could have asked for nothing more. Except -- when we were done they CLEANED UP!! All we had to do when the concert ended was leave, not pack up baskets, chairs and dishes, just walk away. We think Berkshire Picnics is the greatest discovery since sliced bread. Apparently so did many people at Tanglewood, who kept walking by and admiring the picnic and asking us to tell them all about it -- which we cheerfully did. Yes, it is expensive. But wow, try it and we are confident you'll be amazed, too.
