Great haircut, fair price. Got a faded bald cut, well a "half" versus a "zero." For men, but there are plenty of little kids if that is an issue. read more

We absolutely love Eliezer! He's been cutting my two sons' hair (5 and 3) and is so patient, gentle, and fun with them. Even when they're wiggly, he makes it a great experience -- and their haircuts always turn out amazing. Couldn't recommend him more! read more

Jorge is great. He is very friendly and always gives an awesome, sharp haircut. Highly recommend him.

We bring our two young sons (ages 2 and 6) to Eliezer, and every single visit reminds us why we trust him. He is incredibly kind, patient, and pays attention to every detail. Our youngest will only sit through his appointment if he has a lollipop, and Eliezer always remembers and has one ready for him without us even asking. Our oldest struggles with sitting still in general, but with Eliezer, he feels comfortable. He's patient enough to give him little breaks when he needs them and still manages to give him a perfect haircut every time. Both boys always walk out looking great, and they get so many compliments from others. We're truly grateful for the care and patience Eliezer shows our boys. He makes what could be a stressful experience feel easy, and that means everything to us. Highly recommend! read more

I took my 4 year old son with sensory issues to Beardsley barber shop today for the first time after receiving a referral from a friend. We saw Derek and he was incredible. My son is terrified of haircuts and we have never been able to successfully complete a haircut in one sitting at any other salon or barber shop. Derek was so kind, patient ,and understanding of my son's needs and we were able to get a great haircut in. Derek took so much time to make sure my son was comfortable and didn't rush force too much on him. I left the salon calling my family to tell them how happy and impressed I was and I will 100 percent be recommending this barber shop, especially Derek to everyone. I am so appreciative and beyond pleased with the entire experience. We have already made our next appointment and I can't wait to go back and see the progress my son makes during his haircuts with Derek ! read more

My son absolutely LOVES Beardsley's Barber Shop, and especially his new, but forever barber, Trim. Trim was kind, attentive, and welcoming to my 8 year old who wanted a haircut that he had never had before. The after picture is epic and my son feels and looks amazing. My son said "I'm never going to anyone else but Trim, he's so cool!" I really appreciate how quickly Trim was able to get my son in for an appointment... He was well overdue for a haircut. All of the staff in the shop were so friendly and genuine. Even my daughter, who is little, felt welcome and like she could be herself... Beardsley's has a non-intimidating, family feel to it. We love it and can't stop raving about it. The shop is super cool; games for kids to play while they wait, coffee and other refreshments, and a sensory room and "quiet salon space" for kids with sensory processing needs... very accessible for all. 10/5!! read more

Highly recommended his Barber Shop. My guy, Tim is top notch and very kind. It's more about the friendship then just being a customer. I've noted this both times I've been there and looking forward to returning again. Kudos to the business owner. read more

I saw all the positive reviews so I decided to give this shop a try. Usually I stay away from franchised hair places. First, the barber shop is nice and so is the staff. They especially cater to young people reluctant to get their hair cut. On the flip side, this is the worst haircut I have ever received. To me, a good haircut can hold its shape six weeks. This one doesn't look good, even using some wax cannot save this cut. It looks terrible straight away. I couldn't tell how much was cut, because they have vacuums on their razors so you can't gauge anything by watching the hair fall. I asked for more off the sides but they spent a half hour cutting maybe 1/4 inch off my hair. I like a barber that knows how to cut hair with a razor, only going to a scissors when they absolutely have to. They missed areas on my head, it doesn't lay right brushed back or forward. I will go get another cut in two weeks and find someplace else. Very disappointing. read more

I've been getting my haircuts from Ronaldo for years. Consistent every time I come in, the shop is always clean and everyone is respectful. Ronaldo continues to impress with every haircut I get. read more

I came back for another last minute cut with Trim. His coworker helped with a slight language barrier and I could see him checking up even while doing a cut himself. Once again everyone was in a great mood, it was fun just to sit and enjoy the vibes. You can tell everyone there genuinely likes each other and what they do which is nice to see. And once again, the cut looks great. Y'all weren't kidding when you said Trim is a pro with scissors. read more

Mack, "the intern", did a great job cutting my hair! I wanted to try something a little different from my normal cut and he was on board. He was kind, efficient and thoughtful when it came to what look I was trying to accomplish and made sure we were both in the same page. I could not be more happy with the result! If we lived in the area we would definitely go back and become regulars. Instead we would encourage anyone in the area to sign up to become one of his first clients. He is and will no doubt continue to be, a great barber. read more

After getting a horrible cut from my last barber, I was reluctant when it came that time for another hair cut. Looking for a new barber can be difficult, but I'm glad I found my boy Trim. When I tell you that he does not miss, that is an understatement. I swear whenever I go in for a cut with Trim, every single time it is the crispiest fade I think I've ever gotten. Dude is like a magician with those clippers. Not only that, he actually listens to what style you want, he makes an effort to exceed expectations. Literally the best barber I've ever had, go book with Trim (just not when I need to get my face touched up lol). You're the man Trim! Great atmosphere, people, and cuts; what else do you need? read more

Got my hair cut today by Eliezer. First time ever going to Beardsley's. What an amazing experience! He was very personable and professional, and the cut was exactly how I wanted it. This'll be my new go-to place and I'll be sure to ask for Eliezer again next time. read more

Went in for a beard trim. I'm a professional Santa. Just needed things tidy for the season. It was professional and quick.

Our toddler (2 year old) has gotten his hair cut twice there. Both times they were incredibly nice and patient. He is still getting used to getting haircuts, so they let him sit on our lap. Prior to coming here we went to those kids places where he would scream and cry the entire time. read more

Beardsley's is a great story of an entrepreneur giving young men early experience with a valued service, teaching them professionalism and good customer service - as well as solid haircuts! I've had cuts from other barbers both local and when traveling, but got the best looking cut I've ever had from Beardsley's. Honestly I don't have a technical cut - relaxed comb-over, but I've had multiple barbers and never a bad cut. The facility is nice and new, great waiting area (FOOSBALL!!), and they even have merch! I bought one of the shirts - trendy fit and nice logo. I'm not one for local merch but this shirt I'm happy to show off around town (I live in Geneva). read more

Where can I start? Moves to Saint Charles and wanted to get a pro barber that I will blow my mind Went to over 6 different barber shops in tricity area and then i found this place I was taken care of by Chris , young and very talented pro. I go there once every 3-4 weeks and he does an incredible job with my hair and beard Highly recommend this place and Chris itself read more

I took my brother here after seeing many excellent posts about them on our town's Facebook page called "What's Happening in St. Charles?" While I already have my own stylist, I can definitely acknowledge talent when I see it. Throughout the entire haircut, they were educational, conversational and extremely thorough! It is hard to find that in this day of age with the amount of barbers around. Nowadays, you can take your kids to SportsClips and pay $8 to have it rushed and ruined.. so why not come here for $10 more and pay for a QUALITY haircut while also supporting a local business. C'mon, everyone has to live with their hair everyday, so why not style a bada** haircut?! I have been to many barbershops and this one definitely stands out from the rest. The owner is extremely funny, honest and kind, and his hair cut artistry is top notch! The entire time, he gave background history of his family's shop's and barber work and explained what he was doing tinny brother's hair step by step. It was pretty legit. If you are a man or a women with a pixie cut and you live nearby, you should definitely come to Beardsley's. To be specific, my brother has long hair on top and came here for a separation and fade. read more

Excellent shop, very clean, and absolutely excellent people working there. Affordable prices with very professional talent

They are all good people, they have fun it is a family atmosphere. Everyone does a nice job and care about the quality of the work. Been going since they opened this location and have never had a bad experience read more

I've been bringing my son here for 3 years. This is where he asks me to bring him. My son gets a pretty unique hair cut. I always have to provide a photo and explain. I use the same person every time, so we get the same great results. The one time I allowed a different person to cut his hair, was the one time he got a bad cut, but it's hair, and his grows faster than most. They have video gaming systems to entertain or occupy yourself while you wait, but we've never had the time, and my son's probably only played once or twice. read more

Today was my first time having Dan cut my hair. I've been to Beardsley several times before and always had a good experience. However, this is the first time since I have been in this area that I can say I have officially found my go-to barber. Dan is an excellent barber. Very personable and gave me what I would regard as the best haircut of my life today. I am beyond pleased with how well he did. Had I known my experience was going to be that great, I would've tipped more. I will definitely be a repeat customer of his. read more

I was very confused with my whole experience. I thought I'd try them out for the first time because most places were booked. I called and they had an appointment open. I made the appointment for a beard trim and a head shave. When I got there, they put me with a different person rather than who I booked the appointment with. I thought, whatever, maybe he went home sick or something. He trimmed my beard, it was fine. Then he said he didn't have time for the shave because his next appointment was already there. That's my fault? I specifically made the appointment to include the shave. I would've went somewhere else if I had known they we're going to finish what I booked. The only reason why I gave 2 stars is because it was quick and cheap. If I'm in a rush or need a last minute trim, I may stop in. Other than that, I probably won't go back. You get what you pay for I guess. read more

Friendly, fast, and hospitable... Derek turned on my son's favorite show, and he loved it as he was a little nervous going to new place. The cut he gave was just as ordered, maybe even better. (On a side note, there is a customer who comes all the from Huntley to see Derek - over 30 minutes, at least - speaks volumes in my book.) In addition to the TV, they've got a foosball table and chess, and there is talk of expanding out the back to make it more comfortable and entertaining for waiting customers. There are other places to get haircuts, but you'd be hard-pressed to find one that is more customer-attentive than Beardsley's. Highly satisfying experience overall at Beardsley's - it definitely makes the cut... Check it. (It's located in same strip mall as Dunkin' Donuts just left of the yoga place.) read more

Was in town staying with relatives and in need of a haircut and beard trim. It was between this place or one other and luckily this place was not only cheaper but also closer and I was able to walk in without an appointment and get taken care of within 30 minutes. Ironically, right after I sat down in the chair, more and more people started coming in some I got there just in time. The barber was very professional and friendly and I was confident that I was in good hands since I had no prior knowledge of this place. Not a single thing was overlooked. I would be more than willing to revisit next time I am in the area. read more

A friend recommended Beardsley's after my two young boys got pretty terrible haircuts elsewhere. Derek spent a ton of time studying their hair and determining the best way to fix the problems, and then advised me on styling their new cuts. Their hair looks awesome now! He also squeezed in both kids at the end of a busy day (despite having another commitment after closing) because he knew we had made a long drive to get there. Great customer service and the kids loved the tvs, chessboard and foosball table! We've been making the hourlong drive ever since - totally worth it! read more

For the better part of a decade my sister would cut my hair... Now with kids and schedules I've had to find an alternative. I decided to give Beardsley a shot as it's literally 2 blocks from my house. I'm impressed with the quality of the men's/boys hair cuts. When I leave I feel very good about my style and also think the price is on point. All the barbers seem to genuinely enjoy each other and frankly the banter is a big bonus. Good natured ribbing, movie critiques and joking around makes the experience every enjoyable. Thanks. read more

Ive been coming here for almost a year now and have nothing but good things to say. They are priced fair and they are convenient. Easy to book and appointment. Easy to pay. Went here as a first time client last week, based on others' yelp reviews. My teenage son is quite particular now on how he styles his hair, along with who cuts it. He was very happy to work with Tim, who he says he did a great job of listening to exactly what he wanted, observed the photo that my son showed him on how he wanted his hair styled and trimmed , and left a very satisfied customer. I believe we finally found our place that both my son and I can agree upon, and stop the arguing of who, how, and when his hair is going to be cut every two months or less. The last 2 to 3 years have been a struggle with him, in terms of how often he'll get it cut. May the struggle exist no more. Tim, you've made this mom a believer again, that I can actually get my son out the door and excited about getting a haircut. I can't thank you enough! read more

I hadn't had a "real" haircut since Covid began. My old barber retired, so my wife took over. In desperate need of a fresh cut I found Beardsley's online. Close to home, so why not? I'm glad I did. I just moved here from Phoenix where I had a consistently phenomenal barbershop that I could rely on. I searched Yelp for a local shop and found Beardsley's and their many positive reviews. I was intrigued and figured that I needed a quick trim and a beard trim (the beard was not very attractive prior to entering the shop). Tim cut my hair and asked my preference for the back hairline, which I appreciated. The beard trim was on point and he cleaned it up as much as possible with it being in its early stages, not taking away from its overall length. The thing that impresses me about the beard trim is that the lines are consistent and even--I've seen too many beard trims go bad because of uneven lines or an inconsistent look on the cheek and jawline. Overall, I was extremely pleased to have stopped in. Tim and Anthony were great guys and provided excellent service. Not only am I pleased with the service, but I am also relieved to have found a local shop that I can be a regular at. I've found my local barbershop! read more
