This business was the first to reopen in the area after Hurricane Michael. I'm willing to bet they sold well over 1,500 chainsaws in the weeks after the storm. I myself needed a new saw regardless. They were extremely helpful and they were selling for great prices because of the terrible lack of suppliers in the area. Plus they are just great people! Fast forward to the present and my trimmer died on me. It was a no brainer where I was going to purchase my new STIHL FS94R. Excellent customer service after the fact is paramount, and Beard definitely delivers! If you are in the market for STIHL products, John Deere tractors, or heavy equipment, this is the place to go. Beard has my business for life. read more

I hired him to demolish my house and carry away debris following Hurricane Michael. I specifically…read moreasked if he knew the property boundaries and he said that he knew them. After 2 years I got a call about the state of the property. I hired 3 people who could not cut the vegetation due to cement, bricks and debris EVERYWHERE. I called Smiley who denied that he had simply covered the debris rather than remove it. I demanded that he meet me at the property and he refused to clear it unless I paid $250 to clean it AGAIN, even though he had left the debris in violation of the contract. While he was there, he cut vegetation on a strip of land ON THE ADJACENT PROPERTY which is owned by someone else. When informed that it was not my property, he admitted that he had cleared the property AND CHARGED ME FOR THE WORK, and worse, HAS REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY, even though it is ILLEGAL to charge me for work done on someone else's property. Now is demanding payment for re-cleaning my property. He has cursed and acted like a complete jerk, yelling and screaming and refusing to even LISTEN to my argument. Threatening to sue me EVEN THOUGH HE DID NOT DO THE WORK PROPERLY First OR second time. I have had it inspected and he STILL has left debris on the property. Take a hard pass at this company. Smiley is unprofessional, does poor work, does not back it up and is a freaking nightmare to deal with.

I wanted to host memorable family cookouts, pizzas on the stone, smoking, and grilling with everyone together. The order was supposed to be delivered on July 2nd. Instead, Ace Hardware completely failed me with zero communication. No delivery on the 2nd. No email updates. Nothing. On July 3rd, I called the local store to arrange pickup, only to be told the entire order had been cancelled. I then called Ace Hardware customer service, and they confirmed the cancellation but could provide zero explanation for why it happened. No apology of substance, no offer to expedite a replacement, no compensation--just a shrug and "it's cancelled." This level of incompetence is infuriating. I planned around their promised delivery. I told my family we'd have this new setup ready. Instead, I'm scrambling last-minute on a holiday weekend, dealing with disappointment, and explaining to grandkids why we can't use the gear we were excited about. No "processing" updates, no "out of stock" heads-up, no courtesy call or email--they just vanished the order like it never existed. For a major holiday purchase tied to family memories, this is unacceptable. Ace Hardware's system is broken. Their communication is nonexistent. Their customer service is useless. They ruined what should have been a highlight of our family reunion. I've shopped at Ace for years expecting small-town reliability with big-box inventory, but this experience proves they're just another unreliable corporation that doesn't care once the order is placed. Do not buy from Ace Hardware online. They will let you down at the worst possible time with zero accountability. I will be taking my business elsewhere and warning everyone I know. Strongly recommend avoiding Ace Hardware for any time-sensitive or important purchases.
