Drove by this place a hundred times but never stopped in. Wish I had come here sooner. The mini golf course is freshly turfed so it doesn't look and play like an old worn carpet from the 1970s. Go karting was the most fun, even going out solo in a two seater was enjoyable for my daughter. Food is decently cheap too. You don't feel like you're being ripped off. The service was terrible! Got our orders wrong, offered to fix them, then walked away and didn't come back. Eventually, another worker came and we told her what had happened. She called the other worker over and she gave us a speech on why we were wrong and they weren't. They ended up not fixing it whatsoever. The mini golf course was decent. read more

I have been going here for years! It was actually started by a childhood friend of mine and her family, but I believe it has since changed hands since her father passed away. This place is an amazing hidden gem on the very edge of the Lehigh Valley. It's cute for a date night, a great place to hold a party or event, or just something to do with friends. The mini-golf is challenging but engaging. They also have a mini-train for kids and go-carts for all ages. Most importantly, they have plenty of delicious ice cream. They immediately let me know there was a procedure in place to prevent cross-contact, showed us all ingredient labels that we wanted, and opened a fresh container to scoop ice cream for him. Over the years Bear Rock Junction has slowly added on to their offerings trying to become a real one stop shop. They started with their two mini-golf courses and their miniature train ride but that expanded to offering ice cream and food. Over the years they expanded the length of the train ride along with adding go karts and a seasonal corn maze with hayride. I have never driven the go karts (nor will I ever) so I can't comment on that nor can I comment on their corn maze as I've only seen it from driving by on 309 nor can I comment on their hayrides or pumpkin picking as we have several options for each much closer to home. No, when we come it's for old school outdoor seasonal mini-golf. A huge shout-out needs to go to ownership who clearly spend some dough to keep everything looking in good shape. The outdoor mini-golf carpets are overall in good shape and the grounds are always well landscaped and manicured. The course while not as crushingly difficult as courses like Putt-U or The Caddy Shack in Manheim, is solid with some water in play especially on the track #2 course but for the most part it's the need to be able to bank or angle things (having some grasp of geometry wouldn't be a bad thing) is what's going to save you from a bunch of 5's or 6's. My wife wanted to take the kids to go miniature golfing and I found Bear Rock Junction. The reviews here were good so I thought this would be a great place to try out this past Saturday. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. We all played miniature golf and had a great time. The course was very clean and well maintained and was not too easy. I was able to get two hole in ones and my 7 year old son did as well and boy was he so happy. As for the go carts, it is so much fun. The track is good and challenging. The speed is satisfying. People are nice. Wait is acceptable. It is not cheap, but for it is worth it. The ice cream was cold and good, but nothing amazing. It lacked a wow factor, but was smooth, creamy enough and hard. Overall, we had a great time here. The prices seem competitive with what is nearby and all the staff here was great, which goes a long way. I would definitely recommend coming here for miniature golf. read more

This place is awesome! My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place last weekend while we were out for a drive. We decided to stop and play some mini golf. We had such a great time and the course was really beautiful. Actually the whole place was really nice and really well landscaped. I loved that they had train tracks for the kids to ride on. After we played a round of mini golf we sat down under their pavilion and had some ice cream. The ice cream was great and so was the service (although I'm pretty sure the younger girls there thought my boyfriend was cute and that's why they were always around when we needed them, lol not that I blame them though). We both really enjoyed our stop here and will definitely be back. The only bad thing I can say is their prices are a little higher then most places but they aren't high enough to keep us from going back. Maybe if they offered coupons?? Just an idea. read more

This was our treat after our hike in Trexler Nature Preserve/LV Zoo. I was told by another hiking club leader about the best milkshakes here. Well, I had the butter pecan ice cream made into a milkshake. I wanted mine extra thick and it was the best I have tasted. Others had no complaints except maybe the price was a bit high. In the fall, they have a really cool corn maze to try too. My family and I always come here for there ice cream too. I only attended Bear Rock for mini golf and was only to able to play one of the two courses but it was a nice visit! I believe we played Track #1 and it was one of the more difficult plays in the area. The course is well kept with clean greens and very challenging holes. I could see young one's being frustrated playing this because even for some of the older kids who like mini golfing, this is a test. $7+ for mini golf is a little eh but it wasn't not worth it. I'd probably go back to play the other side. I don't know from personal experience but I've heard the corn maze is incredible. read more

FUN FUN FUN I just went to the corn maze recently and it was tons of fun!! $8.50 per adult and there were 2 mazes to go through. One of the most fun things I have ever experienced.. everyone should try one once in their life. I read online that this is the largest corn maze in PA (4.5 miles long). My friend and I teamed up and raced through the mazes against my sister and her husband (competing for dinner), it took us about 2 hours to get through. FOOD & DRINK Buy the S'mores kit!!! Yum Yum Yum.. $10 for a bag of marshmallows, several bars of Hersheys chocolate and a small packet of graham crackers (plenty for 4+ people). We saw only one firepit available when we went (there were others that were reserved by a group) but no one else was roasting so we had it all to ourselves. The website mentions chargrilled hamburgers and award winning chili-dogs and pizza, but the corn maze people have no idea what you're talking about if you ask them (they only have plain hotdogs.. they do not taste so great either and the apple cider is lukewarm, get the hot cocoa instead). The good food is over at the mini-golf place across the street, but you're lucky if the grill is open. We were there on a Saturday night and the grill had been closed all day (the non-chargrilled chilidogs were average). The mini-golf looked fun, but they don't put the lights on at night (at least not when we were there) and right now they're playing some loud annoying Halloween music with a lot of screaming and yelling.. 5 stars for the fun, but minus one star for the food. read more

A great family place! They have ice cream and hot dogs (my husband loves the chili) and other snacks. There are 2 mini golf courses and a little steam train that circles the property. There's also a paintball area in the back. I think it's just to practice shooting. I'm not into that, but I've never seen anyone do it there. They have a chiminea set up and lots of tables and chairs. I have been here twice, both on beautiful summer nights. Both times it has been very empty. This is an excellent family friendly place. There are two mini golf courses that intertwine through a series of man made streams, waterfalls and rock hazards. There is a little place to sit in the shade and eat. (think more like a glorified high school concession stand). But for what it is, a family friendly destination, it fits the bill perfectly. Husband & daughter took me here for Mother's Day they saw on line moms got to mini golf for 1/2 off & if u played both courses the 2nd 1was 1/2 off also . We live in pen Argyl so it was a nice 45 min ride but worth it I can say I had a nice Mother's Dayeven though I miss my mom who is in heaven for 7 years now it made my day a little easier.
