You really got a sense of who these people were and how well they lived. The grounds are stunning and we really enjoyed the outside self guided tour. We were there two hours and I'd go back in a heartbeat!

First off, some of the signs pointing to the entrance of this place are flat out incorrect. Second…read moreoff, it's not worth it to buy a $5 pass. The main attraction really is the mansion so just buy a $18 pass which gives you access to the mansion tour as well as the outside grounds (which is what the $5 pass gives you access to). As for as museum goes, the subject material isn't that interesting: it's about a random wealthy family. Imagine a 100 years into the future we have a museum about a random millionaire. Our tour guide, Marco, was fantastic and great at answering questions for our little group of 4. The mansion really is just a showcase of how a wealthy person's home from the early 1900's. You get a glimpse into their business and personal lives as well as the type of furniture employed in the household. The tour was interactive and nice. The self guided tour is just literally walking around the mansion so there isn't too much to see but it makes for a nice, short walk. Overall, I think that there are more interesting museums out there. But if you're looking for a super quiet museum to browse, this would be the place.

Jay Lively Ice Arena is a single sheet, city run, ice rink. This rink is located on the far north…read moreedge of Flagstaff. It has single point access with ample parking, especially when considering the very limited capacity of the 2 rows of bleachers in the rink. The facility appears well run, the ice kept decently well and the locker rooms are very well planned. When you arrive at this rink as a hockey player, you immediately realize the locker rooms section of the facility must have been an add-on after the rink was built. The built on locker section is attached nicely to the far side of the boards, with the changing rooms, showers and hallway all away from the main area. The lockers are nice, spacious and well kept. The split shower/washroom facilities between the lockers contain 6-8 shower spots each, and are kept clean. Thankfully, the water temperature works in most shower heads (which can sometimes be a failing of rink facilites). The ice itself seems maintained well and the staff seems present and attentive, which can again, be a failure at many local rinks. One oddity that makes little sense is the rink policy of "no outside food", considering there is no consession, store, restaurant or grill inside the facility. Seems like a mindless edict to demand fans not bring in outside food when nothing else is available. Overall, rink appears good and well managed, and certainly a wonderful asset for the city of Flagstaff.

Some of these items are so intricately made and engraved, they're like works of art. They had antique firearms and more recent displays from all over the world. Some of the grips were made out of ivory, turquoise and more. Fascinating to see the difference and how firearms have evolved over one hundred or so years.

Fort tuthill offers cabins, hotel rooms, camp sites and yurts. We rented the A Frame rustic cabin which has a bedroom with 1 large bed, another bedroom had two twin beds upstairs and a pull out in the living. Full restroom and full kitchen. Prices have increased substantially in my opinion, but there is plenty of space so you could split the costs if you have to join you. They have Peak and Off-peak rates.... It's only for military and families (active, reserve, retired, etc). They also have smaller studio cabins, a larger cabin that fits up to 12 and some pet friendly units. The grounds are beautiful...for the outdoor enthusiasts, hiking, skiing (seasonal) nearby.... Staff was friendly, large fireplace in the lobby, along with a small convenience area where you can get snacks, beer, coffee and more. Great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors!
