First of all we brought our 3 year old in for…read moregroup lessons after calling and making sure that would be a good fit for him because he's autistic and they assured me it would be, we do the class and the teacher tells us that my son is too much of a distraction to the other kids so we needed to switch to private. I was annoyed but understanding plus the manager told me he would switch us for the same rate. So I called To get switched and they would always promise me a call back wouldn't call me back. This seriously went on for two weeks! So then I started calling other locations and asking if we could switch to their location one after another the same thing would happen where they would promise me a manager would call me back and I would never get a callback. That's when I realize this place was a complete and utter scam. It took me leaving a Facebook post and canceling my credit card to prevent them from charging me to get them to finally reach out to me where they offered me a free month of private lessons. We went to the first one and it was such a joke. The guy was literally just showing my son how to splash, swirled him around a little and called it a day. This was supposedly their swim instructor with the most experience. We've had lessons at other schools that Have been more more intensive for better price.

We have been going to Goldfish for several months, and we are so happy! They do seem to have a high…read morerate of turnover, but they have all been very flexible with my little ones. The class sizes are small, and the teachers quickly learn all of the kids names and personalities. They have really taken an interest in making sure that the swimmers are comfortable. If you enroll a brand new swimmer, plan to enroll for at least a handful of months. They will cover safety as well as technique.

They also have inexpensive snacks and drinks available for purchase in the lobby if your schedule gets tight and someone needs a snack. There is a 2nd floor lounge with windows that gives parents and siblings a fantastic view of the kids who are training in the gym or the pool. Love this feature! They had an event credit on our account for 3 years from when we had to cancel a special event enrollment back before he enrolled in classes. Can't recommend this business enough. Originally, one of the biggest perks of the Cincy Y membership was that it allowed you to use all Cincinnati branches. Now, you can go to any Ohio YMCA with your membership! Way to go! I know the membership pricing varies based on economic conditions, and while the Y certainly isn't the cheapest option, I will say they offer a lot of bang for your buck if you are willing to take advantage. Pools and saunas at most locations, fitness classes offered at all of them and at varying times, ActiveTrax to customize your fitness regime, weight rooms, workout facilities, personal coaching, and various free training programs from weight loss to competitive running to healthy eating make the YMCA not just a weight room, but a comprehensive facility for better living. I will say that while the Y offers a wonderful program for synchronized and competitive swimming, it wreaks havoc on the pool availability schedule. During the school year, expect the pool to be occupied whenever the children can be there. Even with 3 pools available at the Powel Crosley, it is difficult to discern from the schedule when the pool is open to the public. The good news? You can always call and talk to a human being.

Ryanne kept a good eye on my middle child as he is extremely ornery & squirmy. She was awesome with my kids! I can't say enough about Amy, she's a wonderful lady! She interacts with everyone & calls the kids by their names. She walks the edge of the pool checking on everyone & all the things, during lessons. She talked to my boys after every lesson & even teared up on our last one. She gave my boys big hugs telling them she hopes to see them soon. The scholarship that they offer is such a blessing. We wouldn't have been able to afford lessons other wise. My middle child has nearly drowned twice, and now after his lessons I feel he could make his way out of a pool on his own if need be. They told me I could save them and use them when they went back to the regular lesson in the fall. I was just told my remaining lessons will not be honored unless I pay for at least 4 additional lessons or pay for their clinic. They told me it's not their fault, it is corporates change and they won't honor my lessons I paid for. They also refused to give me a phone number to this corporate office they are blaming. Don't lose your money going to Bear Paddle. That is not the way to run a business by stealing from your clients.
