Old school alignments...better then computer aided great staff it's amazing what Rick and his team could do

I was referred to this place by a shop that I've known for several years. I needed an alignment I asked this place to check to make sure I needed one. They then went ahead and did the alignment without telling me they were going to do it. Charged me 120$. My car started pulling to the right, I brought it back the mechanic the told me he didn't have the tool to correctly align my car. 2022 Camry SE and that all he did was swap the front tires. He put the left on the right and the right on the left. I found another shop that did my alignment correctly. But had to spend more money. Below is a picture from the other shop I took my car to today. This was my alignment when Bear Frame & Wheel did it and this was after I took it to another shop to get corrected. read more

Came where for an alignment and it was so fast! I dropped my car off at 7:45 am and it was ready by 10 am on a Saturday. I called ahead and was told it's first come first serve so just be aware of that. Prices are super reasonable and they do a good job! read more

After looking at several reviews, I called Bear and Frame for shocks replacement for a 2011 Ford ranger. The gentleman gave me a price for 2 and 4. Wasn't the most expensive, but not the cheapest either, fair but this place was the only one that gave an option. He said you may NOT need all 4. Bring it in and we'll check it out. Went in Saturday morning and he drove my truck and then listened to my other concerns. The guy inspected the truck and recommended new rotors and brakes because he said the truck had been sitting, which it had. So sure, safety concerns, let's get it done. I left the truck and he called me a few hours later. Older truck, but runs like a champ! Go see Rick, he's great, knowledgeable and I definitely would recommend La Puente's Bear Frame.. read more

They said , bring it so they can inspect in person at no cost and they'll give me a price. The second day I agree to do the job with Rick the owner. The following day they had it ready. All my front lower suspension bushings with other parts was replaced but more than anything the squeaky noise you can hear from a mile away is gone. I walked into Bear Frame and Wheel La Puente for a (4 wheel) alignment as I was quoted 85.00 over the phone. When I walked in the service advisor was on the phone and acted like no one was standing in the lobby to be waited on. As I was standing there approximately 10 min with NO acknowledgement ,No eye contact, or No care in the world I noticed he wasn't talking about anything auto related , but like he was talking to a friend , and on the norm you would think good customer service would have would put the person on the phone on hold to address the customer standing in from of them, but not this guy. So I walked up to the counter directly in front and he finally ends the call and says "What do you need" in a sarcastic attitude , and my reply was do you want to align my car or should I go else where.. He then said" GIVE ME YOUR DAM KEY, along with a couple other explicit, which then goes over to his tech who was another real piece of work. This guy gets in my truck and steps on my gas throttle like this thing is a race car and flies around the block , and flies back in jamming on the brakes, and gassing the throttle Oh the advisor did the same thing. This was only the beginning. This guy did not put any gauges on the rear and I really didn't see any on the front either as you cannot do a wheel alignment without those tools. I explained it drifts a little to the left , and he explained to me there is no adjustment for that, and my reply is there is an adjustment for that. There is a camber adjustment, and he said that will not cause any pull. My reply was I spent over 40 years in the auto field , part of those years doing suspension and steering , of which working for a dealership . Either he is not educated enough to not understand camber will defiantly cause a pull if far enough apart from one side to another or he's trying to baffle me with BS, of which he is talking to the wrong guy. Basically all he did was eyeball for a 10 minute toe set , and blew it out the door for 85.00 . Me of who spent my whole career in the field ,also ran a fleet for years got worked in my own field right in front of my eyes. I should have ran video. I asked the tech "what was my setting at on my camber" He said "It set at what the factory set it at" He could not tell me what the readings were nor did I get a print out do you know why?? because he did not have any gauges set up on it. It would be impossible. Lastly , I asked who is the owner of this place and the advisor said " I am"... You cannot make this up.. Not sure how they been getting 4 or 5 stars . Problem was solved very quickly, very fair priced and the work was done with professionalism. From the technician, to the person that collected my payment, they were all very pleasant to deal with. I also spoke with the owner for a few minutes to ask him his thoughts on an upgrade that I was thinking about doing in the near future. He too was very knowledgeable and polite. Took my 1965 Mustang in for shaky front end. The mechanic (Sorry, I can't remember his name.) got my car into the bay quickly. He took his time inspecting the suspension and diagnosed the issue as nothing more than a power steering linkage bushing. He replaced it. He also noted a tire spacer was on the front driver's wheel that caused the tire to wobble. He took the spacer off and wheel rolled straight. Took my truck 3 months ago to get upper control arm replaced and also a transmission mount . Was told they were using a high end name ex: MOOG. Took the truck to my personal mechanic ,got the parts replaced since i wasn't shown parts once taken off .Once my mechanic took them off they were crappy after market cheap "made in china" parts .This pisst me off 3 days without my truck to have shit parts installed and the bill was 1.6k not bad nor cheap for actual! Had a great experience trusting my 65 Mustang with Rick and his team. After Calling 6 shops for quotes on suspension and new brakes.. I went to Bear Frame. they installed all new suspension, arms, rods, bushings, and a disc brake kit I purchased elsewhere. They knew exactly how I wanted everything set up and took time to listen to my requests, they even helped me with hard to reach bolt on my transmission that needed attention and didn't charge me! I have been here three times already and nothing, but honest people. They charged me cheap for an alignment where the dealer was charging me an arm and a leg. Then, I took it back months later because my brakes were making screeching sounds and they were honest and said my brakes were good that it was making the screech sounds because the brakes were dirty. I took it today because the dealer said I needed brakes, and they checked it and said no need for brakes. My brakes are pretty good. They didn't charge me both times for checking my brakes and were completely honest with me. I really appreciate that because as a girl, mechanics can really rip you off if you are a girl. Class Act!!! The way a business should be run!!! I took my Ram 1500 to bear to have the shocks done. To do the front end shocks is a big giant pain in the rear. So much so my regular mechanic said he couldn't do it and recommended Bear. From the moment I walked into Bear I was treated with respect and friendliness. Wow is all I can say. I took my 2008 Scion xb in to get the wheel baring and hub replaced. I got an estimate at other places that were way more expensive. Come to find out my axel was leaking and need to be replaced so I was expecting to be broke after but to my surprise I got ALL the work done including an alignment for around $550. Incredible. Was treated with respect and NEVER was lied to. Class act company and people. This was old school mentality in a world that's hard to find now. This place used to be good but went downhill. I had some alignment and steering work done a while ago and all I can say is my experience was bad and won't be coming back. The owner is an old man who is rude with zero customer service. There alignment system is totally outdated that you don't even get a print out of the before and after results of the alignment. I'd highly suggest taking your business elsewhere. It's unfortunate that they aren't as what they used to be but that's just the way it is. Took my car to the dealership and they gave me a quote of over $5000 dollars. Brought my car here after I got referred by my guy at the dealership. They told me that the parts that I had put on were bent and that I just needed to replaced them. Once they are replaced I should be good to go. Came in to get an alignment on a lifted 06 Chevy 2500HD and it turned out the idler arm and pitman arm were in bad shape. Ugh! Timing was horrible! But I had to get it fixed and Rick left my truck running like a champ! I recommend getting the parts from your neighborhood auto shop as they may be cheaper.
