They were able to fit me into their schedule so that I could have other repairs completed by a different vendor. They showed up prompt and on time as scheduled. They were well-mannered, very professional and courteous. They were quick in troubleshooting the problem, very knowledgeable about what was causing the problem and fixed all my issues expeditiously and even upgraded my existing equipment to make it more user friendly and safer. When it was time for payment they realized they quoted me an older cheaper price. They did not attempt to coerce me into paying the correct price. They even apologized for misquoting me the incorrect price and stuck to the lower pricing that I was quoted and accepted that payment. I also chose to go with A.R.E. once I found out they were not only a woman owned and minority owned business, but they are also a locally owned company that cares about there customers. During these times it is more important than before that we spend our money locally and keep our economy moving forward.

They put it off for 3 weeks and many calls asking when they were coming, stating "they were Busy". I explained that no one could live there without a/c and they did NOTHING except excuses, The part was under warranty and I thought I had to go thru them because of that. After excuses and waiting 4 weeks, they Patrick, mgr) finally said they couldnt find a compressor, then did order it. They then told me a week later their part company that had it, had given it to someone else and they were waiting for them to get another to "make it right." After a week goes by I get a call from a girl in the office sating she finally called around and got another one from another part company and would have it installed the next day. They could have called around " long before they did and also not waited over 3 weeks to inspect it in the first place.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! They will not make price adjustment for all the inconvenience and the fact there was no A/C for all that time! They certainly have forgotten all about customer service and have gone way downhill in servicing their customers!

I have been a Ready Power customer for approximately 13 years, dating back to the original…read moreinstallation of my home gas generator. After letting my maintenance contract lapse, I renewed it in July 2025 for $295, which was supposed to include a one-time service visit covering oil, filter, spark plug, and air filter. The problems began with my first service call. A technician came out, diagnosed the issue, but did not have the necessary part on his truck. He said he would return once the part was available. When he came back to complete the repair, I received a second invoice for $200, billed as an entirely separate service call. I contacted the office and spoke with a representative named Crystal, who told me that charging for each visit was company policy and that no adjustment would be made. Only after I insisted on speaking with a supervisor did she offer to waive the charge, adding that I should expect to pay full service call fees for every future visit, regardless of the circumstances. The second issue involved my contract renewal. When I received the new invoice, the price had increased from $295 to $395, a 34 percent increase in a single year. When I called to ask about it, I again spoke with Crystal, who explained that rising gasoline prices and other costs justified the increase. She offered to honor last year's rate as a one-time exception but made clear that $395 would be the going rate going forward. I cancelled the contract and will not be doing business with Ready Power again. I am sharing these facts so that prospective customers can make an informed decision. The pattern I experienced involved a billing practice that penalizes customers when a technician comes unprepared, a price increase of 34 percent with minimal explanation, and a customer service approach that required escalation before any reasonable accommodation was offered. Whether this meets your standard for a service provider you can trust is for you to decide.

After having our attic spray-foamed and a completely new HVAC system installed, the HVAC installers…read moreleft us with a lot of non-working lights. They said they did what they needed to connect the HVAC and that we needed an electrician to install another circuit in the attic to connect the things that were removed so that the HVAC could use the current circuit. After weeks of waiting for 2-3 other electrical companies to come out, we had several no-shows and poor communication. We contacted HD electric and very quickly, Doug came to the rescue! When Doug arrived, I called my HVAC installer to explain what exactly was done and needed to be done. As he went on, Doug developed a facial expression that said "this guy is not making sense." He went into the attic to investigate. He came down with a puzzled expression, checked behind the plates of a few electrical switches and asked if I had any lightbulbs. I did and I brought them out. One by one, he simply replaced lightbulb after lightbulb and almost all the lights were restored. Turns out that the HVAC installers overloaded the circuit and cause a surge that blew all the can light bulbs. We didn't need another circuit installed and he was very quick to identify that. Additionally, our undercabinet lighting had been manually turned off on each of the lighting units (not by us)...and a simple flick of the switches on each unit turned them back on. It was kinda funny, but at the same time, completely adverse to what the HVAC installer had explained to be the issue. Doug was finished and out the door in less than 20 minutes leaving all lights in working order.....everything has been fine since. Later it occurred to me that another electrician, when hired specifically to install a new circuit, thought that was not the issue at all, may have gone ahead and done so as it would have been a more lucrative job....and I wouldn't have known it was unnecessary given the picture painted by the HVAC installer who assured me that it was what needed to be done. HD Doug was fast, knowledgable, realistic, honest and pleasant. This was about 9-10 months ago. Recently, I had a need for an electrician for another project and after waiting weeks for couple of other flakey, unresponsive electricians to show up, I remembered Doug and gave his office a call. I spoke with an answering service who took down my info and Doug called back in less than a half hour. We are currently coordinating a schedule as there is another party that needs to be present at the same time. I have total faith that this will move along quickly and the job will get done efficiently and well! Don't hesitate to give HD Electric a call. They don't just return calls quickly, they actually show up on time, communicate well and do great work. Highly recommended!
