I cannot begin to tell you how well-cared for I feel my kids are by Dr. Tommy! He takes the time to explain things in a way you can understand and has such a calm approach that allows for an overall great experience. In addition to well-visits for cleanings, our son had a lip-tie procedure today with Dr. Tommy and his assistant. Dr. Tommy himself called us up to check on him tonight and that really just hit home how amazing him and his team are! I can't thank my pediatrician enough for recommending Bear Brook and I highly recommend you look no further for a peds dentist! This place was great when it opened and now all you get is a different new dentist every time you go and they tell you that you need all of this unnecessary work. I saw 4 different dentists over 2 years and one said I had 5 cavities, next visit they disappeared, the next visit I had 4 and the last time I went I had 1. I saw all the great reviews and went for a cleaning and exam. The staff and facility were great, and my hygienist did a good job with the cleaning. My problem was with the dentist. He literally spent about 60 seconds in the room, looked at my teeth and the photos of my teeth on the screen. He just looked in my mouth and said "Crown, Crown, Crown, Filling". I asked about the condition of my teeth and why I needed Crowns and he said it was a "plan". I asked about the Filling, which was actually a small cavity on the side of my tooth by an area that had bonding and he replied it's the same thing. I don't think it is. I asked about the timing of crowns? How much does this cost? He replied, check with the front desk when you leave and then he walked out. When I got to the front desk, they tried to schedule me for crowns and to join their Bear Brook group for better pricing on my crowns. So, here I am left to wonder, do I have teeth and fillings that are ready to crack and break, or does he just want to replace my silver fillings with crowns. It's hard to tell when the dentist spends 60 seconds in the room and rushes out. I have a couple crowns and these were put in when a tooth or filling was in bad shape or near risk of breaking. In each case, I discussed it with my dentist and we monitored it over time, then put in the crown when required. I know there are dentist that just want to replace all the silver in your mouth, whether you need to or not. I certainly don't know how Bear Brook expects me to make important and expensive decisions (Thousands $$$) when they rush me through their assembly line and the Dentist appears disinterested. I used this dental office since it opened. We have had many issues lately and feel that it has gotten too big and now it is all about the money. When you visit you will start seeing that Dr. Lee wants to replace crowns even when there is not issue with your teeth at all. He told me crowns last for only 10 years. What???? Also, you will see that employees here come and go very often (NOT a good sign). There was 2 new dentists that started recently and they are already gone. They had a great front desk manager, Erica, who ran the whole office and she quit also. Way too many people come and go. Definitely not a good sign! We have decided to find a new dental office. read more

Everyone is so dang nice that it's hard to feel nervous at all. Not only are they nice but they are very helpful and they will do everything they can to help you understand something or to make you feel comfortable. The only reason I gave four stars is because they do not accept my insurance, so even with payment plan options for the treatments I need are crazy expensive. I understand my insurance wouldn't pay for implants, but it would pay for fillings, so I guess it is a little disconcerting. But I love this practice and everyone who works here! read more

I feel recommendations are one of the highest compliments you can give. So I want to tell everyone what an amazing experience we had w Dr. Tommy at bearbrook dental!! I brought my 3yo son for his first ever dental visit and I was terrified at how this could potentially unfold. The office staff was amazing, my son felt so comfortable like he knew the staff forever and he immediately trusted Dr. Tommy. My son got to pick a show on Netflix to watch (action pack), his flavors for toothpaste and flouride(bubble gum), cool glasses (chase from paw patrol) to wear, and a prize from the gumball machine. Dr. Tommy gave him a ride on the flying chair and sang wheels on the bus to him. The rooms were cute, inviting and clean. They even commemorated the event w a polaroid. The staff is really nice but if you have insurance you might want to double check yourself exactly what is covered. I had to pay an additional $280 after the fact because my insurance coverage was misinterpreted by the dental staff. Had I known it would have a financial impact like that I wouldn't have had the additional items done. They lost 3 patients today. read more

The doctor was kindly explaining how my dental condition was and how he would take care of. All staffs were kind, so I felt comfy while taking medical service. Today I had my teeth cleaned by Erica. She was wonderful, so thorough and pain-free (she numbed my gums). She gave me cleaning tips which I never knew before. Dr. Lee discussed what dental work I need going forward. He was not pushy at all and I will be getting a crown on a much-decayed tooth. I have nothing but great things to say about Bear Brook Dental. Like many people, I have a lot of anxiety about to going to the dentist. I can honestly say that it goes away as soon as I walk into the door. This week I went to Dr. Kiwon to have a minor procedure done to stop my gums from receding. Needless to say, my anxiety was at an all time high. I walked into the office and was immediately greeted with friendly smiles, from the beautiful women at the front desk. At at that moment I became a little less anxious. Then Dr. Kiwon walked in and I was instantly calm . Why might you ask? It was because I knew that I was in great hands. He explained what he was going to do, let me ask 1,000 questions and then began working. Throughout the procedure Dr. Kiwon stopped to make sure I was ok. I truly appreciated that! He really is an incredible dentist; he's super kind & very knowledgeable. Everyone at this office makes sure you have an amazing experience. It is very hard to be nervous when you can feel how much everyone at Bear Brook genuinely cares about their patients. I'm very happy to say that I no longer dread going to the dentist.
