Beans is my favorite place in town to enjoy a nice breakfast! Whenever there is a break in my morning, I love sitting in the historic coffee shop & taking in all of the historic elements. My favorite thing to order is the BELT breakfast sandwich that comes with bacon, egg, lettuce, and tomato (hence the b.e.l.t) on a bagel! The baristas are always so nice at the counter and always provide a smile! If you ask for a recommendation, they are always keen to have a few good ones! read more

Has an unexpectedly good coffee. It isn't watery like many places around here. There's many vague yes to choose from and what to add in these. A latte is a good choice. It's about $3 for a medium. This was made with almond milk. Also get something to eat. Many sandwiches. I had the Veggie With Hummus . It's $7.50 for a good sized meal. This comes on a bagel with cucumbers and spinach. I came in for a coffee and breakfast with my BFF, I have to say the line was short and the food options were great. We ordered coffee and a home made breakfast option. I can't remember the last time I was at a true home style breakfast place. Everything was cooked or made on-site I am sure. The food was amazing, the coffee was perfect and I can't wait to drive back up here just to eat or grab a coffee. This was almost the best part of my week. A CRISP AFTERNOON ON A TUESDAY IN LATE OCTOBER. We were looking for something new - so we headed west on I-70 towards Springfield and Xenia. Mom took a wrong turn (but truly, there are no wrong turns if you like driving down 35 MPH winding country roads in search of someplace new. And we found it. Cedarville is a small college town in the middle of a half-dozen corn fields. Without signs, you might guess you were driving by a large retirement village or even some sort of reform house. At 1 PM, we arrived at the town's crossroads - and it was what you might expect: two-story buildings that might have once been boarding houses with small independently owned business of all sorts: Handmade pottery, crafts shops, a washer/dryer repair, a neighborhood market, and a few coffee shops, Beans and Cream being one of them. We parked on the street and sauntered up to the corner shop, walked inside, and found ourselves a seat. The ceiling was vaulted with a second floor and the main dining area was clean and Spartan: a few square tables with nicer quality wood shop styled metal chairs situated around small square tables. The tables themselves are of note, because they are curio/keepsake tables with glass tops and miscellaneous items tucked inside each. We then go to the counter to order our food and got a Reuben and a BLT, both with a side of Kettle Chips and a Dill Spear. The BLT was what you'd expect. The Reuben; however, wasn't. The corned beef was both tender and fleshy - very little gristle or toughness to the beef. , the sauerkraut was sweet instead of sour, just like the thousand island dressing. In addition, the bread was a clean, sweet pumpernickel - so all four tastes complemented each other nearly perfectly. The total cost came to 12.86, but we didn't order drinks or extras. Also, it was counter service, so the service was middling at best. We were even instructed to put our trays in the tubs near the door - right at our table. All in all, I enjoyed it and it was a decent little escapade, especially if you live in the Springfield/Xenia/Cedarville area. Otherwise, it's a good coffee bar with no big upside. read more

One of the two coffee shops in Cedarville, Beans is on the corner of Main & SR 42 in a beautiful old building. It seems to be the more "local" coffee shop in town as students seem to go to Stoney Creek. It has a really cool 2-story room filled with antiques and other cool knick knacks, even locally-made crafts for sale. Also the balcony is full of big comfy chairs, and tables making it a great place to study or hang out with friends. The staff is great, always friendly and ready to serve you. The coffee is excellent, the espresso and iced drinks are pretty good as well. They also have a large selection of teas. They also have baked goods, soups, and sandwiches; as well as breakfast. Their food is really good and it makes for a good lunch spot. It is a unique fun, full-service coffee house that I recommend. read more

We went to Beans and Cream this morning and had a wonderful breakfast sandwich and great gourmet coffee served in a WARMED mug! We felt so pampered! The menu is varied and the food is delicious. Lots of coffee choices too. Not only that, but MINDY our server and hostess was so genuinely friendly and accommodating! She helped us feel right at home and spent time talking with us about local places to visit. Love the cool atmosphere there - rustic tables - some are shadow boxes filled with antiques. There is even a little place to buy gifts and stationery. If you want to work on your computer there are plenty of places to "plug in." This is a jewel in the middle of downtown Cedarville. This is a good little place for coffee and also food. Lots of times at coffee shops you're limited to pastries or muffins. Here you can have a full breakfast (and hot sandwiches, soups, and burgers at other times). It's really interesting inside, a nice old bank converted into a coffee shop/ deli. There are items to buy from local artists while you wait for your food or sip your java. The service can be a little slow as they seem to be understaffed, but the atmosphere is warm and relaxed. read more

We stopped here for lunch while riding the Ohio to Erie Trail. We just happened on it on our way into Cedarville to look for food. It was an interesting building so we went inside and had a wonderful surprise. It is a lovely old building that was once a bank and has high vaulted ceilings. There is a loft area upstairs that provides seating overlooking the rest of the "bank". There are comfortable chairs around if you choose to just sit and use the WiFi. The décor is eclectic--there are some tables with glass tops that have "things" in them. One was full of printers letters from an old print shop. Another was filled with bags of coffee beans and coffee paraphernalia. Very creative. It is a coffee shop, breakfast/lunch shop, Gift Shop and place to just generally relax. We had wonderful Latte's and also fantastic salads - the Asian Chicken Salads. Lunch/Coffee for two with a generous tip was $25.00. Service is like most coffee shops - at the counter. The ambience was great, the food was great, the coffee was great, and the price was reasonable. We had a great experience here and will definitely go back the next time we ride that trail! read more

The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, with a little bit of town history inside it tables and wall décor.
