I went last weekend to the Lunar New Year event in NoHo and saw that they had the truck there - it was kismet. I decided to order the Korean short rib burrito for my first dive into the Korean Mexican fusion world. I was not disappointed. Love how the kimchi and short rib work within a burrito, and it's very fair pricing for what you get. I liked that they weren't stingy with the beef. The flavor was savory and had plenty of the umami flavor you expect from Korean bbq, and the kimchi brings a great crunch. The line was long for the truck, but from what I've heard, I may have gotten off easy with only a 30 minute wait - this place is popular! My go to is the burrito and it is still delicious. So much Korean bbq flavor! It was large and stuffed with the short rib goodness, scrambled eggs, diced potatoes and a little cheese. Sounds like a breakfast burrito doesn't it? With a side of kimchi, my lunch was perfect. One of the few trucks I would consider a favorite. If you see it, don't second guess yourself. It is also very conveniently located in the parking lot of Firestone auto/tire center, with fairly ample parking as people come and go all night. They also provide some tables and chairs for you to sit, socialize, and enjoy the food while the DJ plays music in the background. The one downfall I would note is that the food trucks that actually show up do not necessarily always match the confirmed list of food trucks they post beforehand. Therefore, don't come expecting something specific (just in case that truck doesn't show up), come with an open mind to try various things!

They are over priced and portions are very small. I could have gotten more for my buck somewhere else for example: tacos el venado on sepulveda. They are really good. There are more than 30 food trucks to choose from. Come early though because long lines form easily and favorites might run out early. Businesses remain open during the event and offer specials such as discounts and free samplings of their products. Lots of free private and street parking. People walk up and down the boulevard browsing stores, avail of samples and discounts, buy food and desserts from the trucks, etc. They come in groups, either with family members or circle of friends. A lot of people also bring their dogs along with them for a good walk. This is a fantastic event to attend to so if you are interested, mark your calendars every last Friday of each month and enjoy one fantastic evening along the boulevard.
