I especially appreciate how my food wasn't sitting in lots of grease compared to other spots. The condiment bar is full of variety--their avocado green sauce is the best I've had in LA (it was chunks of avocado in it too). I'll have to return to try their tacos with handmade tortillas, which I saw them pressing while I was waiting for my food.

I went last weekend to the Lunar New Year event in NoHo and saw that they had the truck there - it was kismet. I decided to order the Korean short rib burrito for my first dive into the Korean Mexican fusion world. I was not disappointed. Love how the kimchi and short rib work within a burrito, and it's very fair pricing for what you get. I liked that they weren't stingy with the beef. The flavor was savory and had plenty of the umami flavor you expect from Korean bbq, and the kimchi brings a great crunch. The line was long for the truck, but from what I've heard, I may have gotten off easy with only a 30 minute wait - this place is popular! Anyway, really dug it and found it something fascinating and new to me. Excited to try the tacos next.

The line wasn't too bad for lunch on a Thursday but the wait for your food can take 15 minutes. The popular things I heard being ordered were the short rib tacos and the short rib burrito. My go to is the burrito and it is still delicious. So much Korean bbq flavor! It was large and stuffed with the short rib goodness, scrambled eggs, diced potatoes and a little cheese. Sounds like a breakfast burrito doesn't it? With a side of kimchi, my lunch was perfect. One of the few trucks I would consider a favorite. If you see it, don't second guess yourself. Get the burrito or a taco at the very least!

It is also very conveniently located in the parking lot of Firestone auto/tire center, with fairly ample parking as people come and go all night. They also provide some tables and chairs for you to sit, socialize, and enjoy the food while the DJ plays music in the background. The one downfall I would note is that the food trucks that actually show up do not necessarily always match the confirmed list of food trucks they post beforehand. Therefore, don't come expecting something specific (just in case that truck doesn't show up), come with an open mind to try various things!

I've been trying to try this one because I saw the hype on social media (maybe I was expecting them to live.up to that hype) Tacos - 2 stars: there was flavor in the asada and al pastor but the tortillas were small and kinda of hard. They may have left them on the grill too long. Im used to the nice soft delicious tortillas. Guacamole was ok Prices - 2 stars: spent $41 for 8 tacos and 2 senorials. They are over priced and portions are very small. I could have gotten more for my buck somewhere else for example: tacos el venado on sepulveda. They are really good. Angels tacos on sherman way (they have home made tortillas and their tacos are twice as big Over all, disappointing. Would I come back again? Not even if I was starving. The food is consistently excellent, and it's easy to see why there's always a steady line of customers. The tortillas are made fresh by hand, and the birria always tastes like it was prepared that day. While it can take a little time to receive your order, that's part of what makes the food so good--you can tell everything is made fresh rather than sitting under a heat lamp. We've tried a variety of menu items over the years, including the asada tacos, goat birria, beef birria, birria ramen, and even the chicken quesadillas . Everything we've ordered has been flavorful and well-prepared. They recently started offering aguas frescas, which are delicious and pair perfectly with the food. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and they're generous with the salsas, letting you choose whichever sauces you prefer with your tacos. Don't skip dessert, either. We recently tried the gelatin dessert they started selling, and it was surprisingly delicious. Great food, fair prices, friendly service, and consistently fresh ingredients. We highly recommend La Autentica Birrieria and will continue coming back weekend after weekend.
