I was in the area late in the evening and went on Yelp to see if there was a place open late that had tacos. Luckily, Tacos Palacios was open. I made my way down to check it out. The taco truck was parked at a gas station and had 2 picnic tables for dining. It was really cold outside. The owner, who was nice and polite, was working and helped take my food order. They have a big menu. I saw that they had tacos with handmade tortillas, so I definitely ordered two tacos with handmade tortillas, one with chicken and one with carne asada. Both tacos were delicious. They have a good spicy green salsa. I was still a bit hungry, so I ordered a burrito de al pastor. The meat was flavorful. I didn't realize that the burrito came with fries, but they were inside the burrito. They tasted good. It was my first time having fries in a burrito. The prices were higher than you would expect for 3 items ($22.50), but I think it has to do with the location. I will stop by again when I am in the area. read more

I will be back! Tacos Palacios did not disappoint for a late night dinner. The taco truck was very easy to find at the gas station under bright lights. I felt safe coming. The worker was very friendly and got to my order right away. There's a long table and seating set-up to occupy while he makes your tacos. Loved the carne asada tacos and the salsa. My cravings are satisfied! This will be my go-to spot for street tacos! Love this Mexican lunch truck. They are located at the parking lot of Mobil gas station on riverside right across 7/11. They got 2 long tables with chairs you can eat there or take home. The workers are nice people. Food here is great, good quality, never chewy meat. There tacos, burritos, sopes, quesadilla, tortas so far I have tried all does and never let me down. Had high hopes for this place based on the high reviews, but left a bit disappointed. Tacos were about $3-$4+ depending on if you get handmade tortillas or not which is a bit steep compared to other amazing taco trucks in LA. The taco meat itself was the biggest disappointment. It was so salty, oily, and I didn't love the texture. There also wasn't the condiments that I love about taco trucks. Yes. Absolutely yes. Taco trucks are a plenty but not all tacos are the same. These tacos here are made to order and packed with the perfect amount of flavor. It definitely hits a spot. After waiting 15 minutes for our food, we were surprised to find that the birria tacos didn't come with Consome, which is pictured on their menu. This is my go-to Taco Place for Toluca Lake. They have a very convenient location, close to Universal Studios and getting back on the 170 freeway. Always get the handmade tortillas, but my absolute favorites have to be the Gordita or Quesabirria!! Try the Birria or Machaca if they have it that night, always SO GOOD. Parked on the corner of Cahuenga and Riverside in the Mobile has station in North Hollywood, this spot does not disappoint. Got a super fat chicharon burrito for 13 bucks, absolutely worth it. The quesadilla for 11 bucks with all pastor was really crunchy and did well too. They were quick, friendly, and very accommodating. They brought out the food to out and checked in on how we were doing which is more than your typical taco stand experience. Angelo and his family are the nicest people and love their set up. I am from Boston and loved finding authentic tacos ----no cheese they do have it if you need it. They do have many types of sauces that you can self serve. The Barrias tacos Angelo says its their most popular taco made with stewed beef. Delicious. Also the fish tacos were filet and not fried which is perfect. I also tried the reg tacos -so good plus the carnitas. It's topped off with lettuce, sour cream, Cheese. Also there Chile Relleno Burrito, and there Palacios Burrito. Yo can't miss it it's a green lunch truck in the Mobil gas station. We found this place while vacationing in LA for the weekend. We came late on a Saturday night so there was no line when we ordered. The young lady employee was kind and came out to serve us our food as we sat there at one of the tables right outside of the truck. It's difficult for us to get my picky 9 year old son to eat anything but plain asada tacos happens to be on the list of things he will eat. He LOVED these ones. I wish this place was closer to where we live because we would definitely go there more often. I usually order carnitas and asada and often the carnitas is more of my favorite but in this trip here, they won be over too with their asada. The meat was so soft and flavorful. My husband also fell in love with the asada and their jamaica drink. We all ordered again for more asada. My son and I had the horchata which was just the right amount of sweet (not overly sweet like some places). We will definitely be visiting this place next time we are in the area! read more

This truck is nice, that's for sure. Is it the best truck or best taco in town? Nah, not terribly. But it's tasty, and probably the nicest most helpful staff of any taco proprietor. Seriously, the guy at the window took so much time to explain everything, which while not necessary was such a nice touch. Even though the tacos I ate from this truck will not make my top 5, I still recommend giving it a try. Definitely worthy of 5 stars. One of the things I value most from a taco truck is having the salsas out for you to dress your tacos yourself, and this truck even has a TV and a larger-than-expected seating area.
