Ok so the place lacks ambience and custom (only one other table while we were here for dinner on Saturday night) BUT omg what a find! 2 of us had the special which was wagu beef on a potato gratin base topped with octopus, prawns AND soft shell crab! Side of fancy veggies too! Duck with orange was delish too I snuck a bite :) Needless to say no room for dessert but we still managed to share the poached pear ...what can I say, lucky the aquatic club had a 2 hr wait for tables or we would have missed out. I enjoyed breakfast on the patio overlooking the park and river, excellent food. Service was friendly and professional- the young lady who attended me was very good and polite : not over the top which I love in wait-staff! Price was quite fair ... the coffee was so smooth it didn't require sugar- amazing!! Definitely recommend this place! Plus you can go for a walk along the river boulevard afterwards ;) read more

Stopped here on eay back to Sydney. Great location by the river with a pleasant aspect. Coffee was good and scrambled eggs were only average. What disappointed me was the attitude of the wait staff. They were not rude but removed and offhand which as a customer I found astonishing. Management needs to hire people who enjoy what they do and this would make a huge difference to the business. The locals must recognize this as well given that another café establishment on the main street two blocks away was full of patrons. Beanbar was sparsely occupied. Enough said. read more

Service was poor. I asked for a Mexican beef burger as a take away... I opened my burger after leaving and there were no jalapeños or hot sauce, just lettuce, tomato, beef patty, cheese and sour cream. I took it back and said its just a hamburger with sour cream and the chef then let me know they didn't have any jalapeños or hot sauce left. (After I had already left and then had to come back) I got my money back and left! I should have been made aware of this when I collected it in the first place. read more
