We ended up here as Buladelah doesn't serve breakfast before 8am and we had rolled in at 7am so Taree was next. This did not look that promising either. There were two places open on either side of the road. One seemed only to have a single item for breakfast and this places had a menu. We were pretty hungry by this stage. The food was OK and so was the coffee. The service was good too. read more

Love their egg, relish and bacon rolls and their milkshakes always go their no where in town has better milkshakes than raw sugar

Raw Sugar is a nice little cafe on a strip. The service was good, the food came out hot, and it tasted very good. You have the option of eating inside or out as they have garden chairs and tables near the sidewalk. I had the French Toast with a Long Black Coffee with milk. Highly recommend this dish for breakfast or brunch. It was nice and buttery had a little crisp on the outside and airy on the inside. The jam they serve with it was different. By itself it tasted strange but to my surprise it went extremely well with the French toast and I would add a little for each bite. There was also some sort of cinnamon cream. That also went really well with it. Overall, the service, location, and food were really good. If I had a longer stay I would've tried other things on the menu. I do plan to come back to Australia someday for longer so when that time comes if Raw Sugar is still going, I'll be glad to give my business. read more

The locals choice! Great pancakes in the breakfast menu. Coffee could do with a bit of an update, but why change a winning formula?

Really nice food today. came in with my wife and were pleased to see so many gluten free options. Highly recommend. Great staff that know the menu and can recommend a dish to suit ,fast service, fantastic management. Will go again read more

We are locals and Raw Sugar is our go-to restaurant. The food is always excellent, the menu always interesting and varied and the management and staff are super friendly and helpful. We have never been disappointed at Raw Sugar and we eat there often. read more

Went here as a recommendation from a local as being about the only place in Taree open for breakfast on a public holiday. Excellent service and a menu offering lots of choices. Also NO surcharge for the public hol. Also opened at 730 which was really appreciated as I wanted to leave town early. As a regular visitor to Taree I will always eat here now. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. read more
