Do NOT go to Beams!! Horrible service.The owner is non-communicative & lazy. We dropped off a clarinet for repair, and did not hear back from them for 6 MONTHS!! When I finally pressured the owner, he gave us back the WRONG clarinet; he couldn't find ours. AFter more pressure, he found ours, but never could find our case, which was a family heirloom. we went home w/ a cheap plastic case. No apologies. read more

My son, wife, and I stood in the store for 20 minutes and were completely ignored by the owner while he was on the phone! We just stood there and looked at him as he continued to shoot the bull about things unrelated to his business. I have never seen such poor customer service in my life!!!!!! We turned around walked out triggering the bell and he didn't even turn around. He lost out on a flute repair valued at over $200. He lost the sale of a Eddy Sun flamed okume ukulele that my son has been begging for and has saved for months to buy. Finally, we were going to sign up for lessons for my son and also repair of a trumpet. All told those 20 minutes cost him $1000+ in lost business. We took our business to Seacat Music in Manheim. Their service is THE WORST. I took a keyboard there in late January of this year because I needed 5 keys replaced. Long story short, I had to keep calling them in order to receive any updates on the status of its repair. It is now August. Seven months later. The keyboard has had ZERO progress made on it. I had been reassured with each phone call that parts were on the way to make the necessary repairs, and I now realize that I have been waisting my time for more than half the year. I also called the store and was put on hold for nearly 25 minutes. The worker had forgotten about me. May I repeat. THEIR SERVICE IS THE WORST. read more

Great job I took my grandfathers 1965 Gibson SG Special Cherry to Beams service center it was in very rough shape I defiantly should have taken better care of it. They did a total recondition set the action, and were able to find Gibson vintage tuning machines. the owner is very rude. they sold me a broken guitar with an electric short in it n i had to run back n forth like 4 times till they finally gave me my money back, ruined my whole night. and then he goes n puts the broken guitar right back on the shelf! read more

My wife and I went there a while ago to buy a guitar for our daughter for Christmas. We knew nothing and trusted them to guide us. Well, as we figured out later, they guided us into a used El Cheapo guitar that retails for under a hundred new and charged us 250. Plus it was missing a part that I was not aware of. They we bought an amp, again, a cheapie that they marked way up . Nothing we looked at was tagged and I think the guy just made up the price. My mistake for not researching, but it was a last minute idea, and I felt we were gouged because we told him we know nothing and looked to him for advice. Yes, buyer beware, but says a lot about their integrity, or actually lack of it. read more
