I'd like to nominate Beaconsfield Post Office for the coveted title of Rude Post Office of the Year. They're incredibly unpleasant to their long-suffering customers. I'm not talking just once or twice but consistently over a number of years. The queues are always long yet the staff seem to enjoy keeping the customers waiting while they replenish the staples or shuffle papers or something equally important. They also allow parcels to pile up at the end of the counter which can't be very safe and secure. And, as for the vulture on the sweetie counter, well she absolutely loathes children and swoops down upon mine each time I visit for daring to glance at her wares. I walked out on the last occasion after she attempted to eviscerate my 3-year-old daughter after touching a greetings card. I can't go back because my daughter now thinks she's the child-catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang come to life! In general, I'm not in favour of privatising public companies but I'd make an exception for Post Office Counters I'd give the lot of them to Tesco to run! read more
