Absolutely tragic thousands and thousands of dollars of personal belongings, from irreplaceable artwork and sentimental inherited belongings, to furniture and items of extreme importance, all water damaged, broken, smelly, or otherwise harmed. They took an ENTIRE 2 MONTHS EXTRA to deliver. And the "careful packaging" was everything thrown on top of each other! Absolutely the most regretful experience. I can't describe to you the urgency of which I insist you reconsider companies. Their insurance only covered $45 out of approximately $18,000 in damages. Absolutely heart crushed. read more

I moved very little items and mostly boxes- this was a good thing because everything I did move was damaged or broken (broken floor lamp not shown). They have the most polite sales force but are brokers and you don't know what you will get- pick up guys were nice and talked me into extra $$$ to wrap the Mattress... delivery guy I was at his mercy when he'd deliver it and he used local people to unpack who weren't that impressed with his professionalism. He didn't put anything down to protect the floors though it was raining- wanted to sign he'd completed delivery and I could still see my bike on His truck- my items were not separated from other peoples/ I could he him pulling stuff tucked here and there and that prob how they lost some boxes of kitchen stuff. Three weeks of calling and getting dumped in dispatch voice mail I give up- I expected a refund of the extra $ for the mattress or maybe an apology but they could care less. BEWARE! I hired Beacon movers to unload a 16 ft truck on February 8th., 2018. Two guys came, Bill and Rick. Rick, his helper was banging my tables against the stair rails, so I told Bill this and he told me that he sometimes drinks too much. (WHAT?!) He tells me that a lot of movers do drugs and drink. This is NOT what someone wants to hear when all of your belongings are in the hands of these people! Rick banged around my coffee table so much that there are three (3) screws MISSING. I gets worse....at one point, Bill is blowing his nose in the parking lot by putting one finger over one nostril and blowing snot out the other, at the same time, Rick is clearing his throat and spitting. I said to them, " you guys realize that I walk there don't you?" Bill replied..."I did it in the parking lot". ( Guess what, I walk there too, as do other people!) Disgusting behavior and disrespectful. I move a lot for assignments and when I get a good mover, I am loyal and hire them many times over, however, I will NOT recommend nor use these movers ever again. read more
