This company's crew member ruined my brand new light-colored carpeting before I even moved into my new home by using wood cleaner on the tile floor--an orangey, oily chemical (and stinky)--which bled into the entire edge of my new carpet, alongside the living and dining rooms. I am utterly horrified, but after a disquieting phone conversation with the proprietor, Chris, I feel he is NOT a business owner whose mission it is to have a happy, satisfied customer. Rather, he is defensive, angry and threatening over the phone. Therefore, I must solve the problem on my own and reconcile the loss. Coole Cleaners is a VERY unprofessional company. My experience almost brings tears to my eyes, it was so bad. My realtor recommended Coole Cleaners, claiming they do an outstanding job with a whole-house move-in clean. I expected a house "detail", and I made sure to provide a list, including windows/window tracks, fridge/freezer, oven, dishwasher, fixtures, walls, switches, shelves/cupboards, bathrooms, garage, and floors. Unfortunately, I was backed into a corner because the company did not send a crew until the last minute, and I was given no idea, ahead of time, what the price would be. The cleaning crew had already begun work before I received the price: "We are going to charge $35/hour." What? With my not being there (I was still in California), I could not supervise the work. That was totally unfair, considering a. They had seen the house. b. They had my list of items. By the time Chris did give me his "price", he said they had already spent about 8 hours and the total price would be up to about 18 hours ($630). I was FLABBERGASTED. I expected--since the house was empty--$350 to $400 tops. I could not afford that much, so I had no choice but to offer to clean the fridge (which no one informed me had an entire spilled salad dressing bottle with hundreds of dog hairs mixed in, throughout the back, where the light bulbs were.) (I checked with two other California cleaning companies whose owners were friends of friends, and they stated they would never charge more than $350/$375, respectively, for a move-in clean on a 3-bd./2 ba. empty home.) I arrived a week late from California, & the garage, where all the boxes were going to go, was FILTHY--especially the floor! Chris said he was sending Isaiah at 4 p.m. to clean it that night--a Sunday--after I had been driving for five days. Isaiah arrived at 7 p.m...three hours late, when I was exhausted. When Isaiah came, I swiped with a paper towel the wet, oily, orangy, ceramic-tiled pantry floor (that Coole Cleaners had "cleaned") & asked him what that wet, dirty brownish-orange oily stuff was all over the paper towel. He replied that it was wood cleaner (I had also shown this to my realtor a day or so prior.) He said whoever did the floors had accidentally used wood cleaner--or used the same mop that was used for the wood floor! Well, that cleaner bled into the 16-foot length of my brand new carpeting and permanently stained it. Additionally, without letting me know he was leaving (after just 30 minutes here to clean the garage), Isaiah left my garage door AND house back door wide open--in the evening with insects coming in, attracted to the light--AND HE NEVER DID THE GARAGE FLOOR! This company's owner, Chris, does not seem to have proper business experience to interact diplomatically with customers, hire experienced cleaners or train his staff OR provide the right cleaning materials to clean professionally, in my opinion. (If you have had a similar experience, please contact me through Yelp because I still paid Chris $350 after he was scolding me, yelling at me, and threatening to take me to Small Claims court--rather than his apologetically and calmly working out the dissatisfaction I had.) Additionally, he betrayed my realtor's confidence by telling me something she had told him, probably to appease him. I have been here in the house two weeks, and I am still finding items that were not satisfactorily cleaned.

Unfortunately, the actual cleaning did not match the polished presentation. I hired this company for a deep clean, and the service did not match what was written in the contract. Several areas, like the laundry room, which were specifically included in the contract, were skipped entirely. When I asked them to come back to complete the work they had already been paid for, they told me it would be a "second phase" and would require additional payment. There was never an agreement about "phases", and it is not reasonable to charge extra for work that was already included in the original contract. They also skipped the copper sink completely. Their explanation was that there was a dish in the sink. We were home the entire time, and they could have simply asked us to move it. That alone demonstrates the level of effort and communication they were willing to put in. Cleaning products were used that were not appropriate for the materials in my home. Clorox wipes were used on surfaces that require specific cleaners, which explains why stains and buildup remained afterward. It felt rushed and not thoughtful. The team was friendly, but the quality of the work and the refusal to honor the original agreement were very disappointing. I paid for a deep clean, not a partial job with surprise "phases" added afterward. If you need a true deep clean or someone who understands how to care for different materials, this is not the company I would recommend. This experience taught me that a professional marketing appearance does not always equal professional results.
