This business is under a new name. It's now called "Zeno's Boardwalk Sweet Shop". I think this is a local chain because there is another place with this name in Daytona Beach area. The ice cream was great! Maybe the best I have ever had. They have a home made BIG waffle cone that is delicious. The one scoop is $4.99 but it is as big as two anywhere else and the waffle cone is $1.25 extra, but so worth it. Very friendly staff behind the counter. All three of us loved the ice cream. There is a nice area to sit outside where there is an Acai bowl place. My daughter says it is great also. It's on Flagler and worth the few blocks walk past the shuffle board courts coming from the beach. There is free public parking in the chicken coupe lot - not the official name, but that is what everyone calls it because of all the chickens around. Great NSB experience. Go for it! read more

Super cute shop! They have the ice cream flavor Of my childhood, Superman- I also got cotton candy, so good. Friendly staff, I like that they provide masks in case you forgot yours. Taffy is also super tasty! It's all prepackaged now, but it's cool. Watermelon, lemon, and cotton candy were my favorite flavors. Would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area! read more

This was my first time visiting and it will be my last. I had a single scoop in a cake cone last night and the cone tasted old and stale. And then today it was a bummer to go try the fudge I bought last night only to see mold growing on it. We left out of town this morning so we couldn't return it, but I can't say I would have wanted another piece of fudge after this. read more

Fun little candy shop right in the heart of NSB. Friendly staff and plentiful on the treats department here. They have a wide selection of chocolates, ice cream, and taffies. Thee place beachside to get your saltwater taffy fix. There's just Something about being at the beach and having taffy, it's a great pastime. They carry "Zeno's" taffy which is a locally owned brand from the Daytona Beach area. In addition to all the flavored salt water taffy (so many flavors!) they also sell molded chocolate in fun beachy shapes, chocolate truffles, and dipped items like chocolate covered Oreos. A really fun place to pop in after the beach and grab some sweet treats. When I visited they also had a Yelp check in discount. You can get ice cream here too. This is a perfect place to carb up after swimming at the beach. read more

Went to this place at 6:30 when the website said they close at eight. The doors were locked but there were still workers in the store and they did not open the doors. The workers, very rudely shooed us away. It was the only place that was advertised as open for fudge in New Smyrna Beach. Very disappointed. read more

Like the name implies, this is a beach town candy shop. We stopped in with a gaggle of kids after dinner to grab some ice cream and sweets for home. They have a great assortment of taffy flavors, from cookie dough to mango chili. They sell Hershey's ice cream (I had the graham cracker..omg...delicious) in either a cup or cone. They also have a large selection of candy that they make on site and pre-packaged candy that the kids will be more familiar with. There is minimal seating inside, but there are a couple of tables if you want to beat the heat in AC. The staff was attentive, professional, and courteous even though our kids were a little rowdy after a too-long day..and I appreciate that! read more

My reviews for all things Flagler are a bit biased because I love NSB and I adore Flagler Ave. However, Beachside Candy Co is so sweet (see what I did there) friendly and quaint that it is truly deserving for 5 stars. As soon as you walk in, it's nostalgia. The candy, decorations, seating, ambiance, it tugs right at your inner kid. We made a beeline for the ice cream and welcomed by a super friendly employee. 2 small cups of ice cream and we picked out some chocolates (BUY THE MIKEYS!!) We picked up some milk turtles, coconut truffles and mikeys. Then we went to the loose candy and stocked up there too. We sat inside to eat our ice cream and there were cute little signs "Make sure to brush your teeth" GOT IT!! We loved sitting there, checking everything out and enjoying our time there. RIght on the main street of New Smyrna Beach, great location, beautiful inside and outside. We only got the white chocolate almond bark, but it was very tasty. The ice-cream looked great, but it was too cold that day to try it, and they had a wonderful selection of various chocolates, numerous fudge and a little area where you could bag up candy pieces. Rented beach cruisers here and had a great time riding at sunset. The lady who helped us was nice and helpful.

Cute store and friendly staff. They have some nice handmade items and chocolates. I attached a picture of some envelopes and candies. I took away a star for their salt water taffy. It is $10/lb which is much more expensive than what you would buy in a box. I would have been ok with that but their flavors are not very good and some tasted like plastic or horrible fake flavor. My advice is to stick with the traditional boxes u see sold. They taste better and are probably fresher. read more

We walked in on Monday evening (MLK Day) and asked the teenager at the counter what time they closed. She said 8 p.m. It was 7:30 p.m. We told her we would be back in 20 minutes for ice cream. We got back at 7:45 p.m. She told us we couldn't order ice cream because she had just sanitized the ice cream "stuff." At that point she just stared at us with her arms crossed. Seriously?!?! 15 minutes before they were supposed to close and she was ready to lock the door. If I were the owner I would be furious. Zero customer service and bad attitude. There's something nostalgic about chewing bubble gum and enjoying salt water taffy at the beach. The smells and flavors take you back to a time when decisions were easy and life was simple. So, we were giddy when we recently stumbled upon Beachside Candy Co. They're an old fashioned candy and ice cream shoppe on Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna Beach. One step inside and we were instantly transported back to "The good 'ole days." They carry a large selection of homemade chocolates and fudge as well as nostalgic candies. We filled our bag at the candy bar with everything from gummy worms to nerds and my personal favorite, Fruit Stripe gum (remember the temporary tattos on the wrappers?). Beachside Candy Co. also has close to 30 flavors of the ultimate beach confection, salt water taffy. While we didn't get a chance to sample their housemade coconut haystacks or chocolate covered marshmallows, we'll be back for more sugary goodness next time. Skip the beach truck popsicles and head to Flagler Ave. for nostalgia and the perfect sugar buzz. read more

Wow!! Beachside Candy is literally heaven for the taste buds. My wife and I ordered an assortment of candy from this beachside sugary, chocolaty promise land and upon our steps arrived the most amazing assortment of sweet treats, both old and new. Classics like Cows Tails and Taffy and new delights like chocolate covered espresso beans. We asked for an assortment, gave them some tips on what we liked and left the rest to the professionals. Our sweet tooth needs have been thoroughly satisfied. We will be ordering from them more often, for many occasions to come and look forward to visiting them over the Halloween weekend. This little candy shop is one of our favorites in NSB. My husband and I always tend to end up here before getting on the road to come home. They are nestled in a cute little aqua shop on Flagler Avenue, and are conveniently located across from the NSB Hampton Inn. They have a variety of chocolates made in house, from pecan turtles to chocolate covered oreos to chocolate covered bacon, and my favorite chocolate covered twinkies. They also sell ice cream and many other hard candies. Outside their shop you can rent a beach bicycle for the day and they have a large outdoor seating area. After checking in on the Yelp app, I got to use a 10% off coupon they had provided, which was awesome! read more
