However, as with the most interesting places to eat, there is a certain way things are done here. First, you do not have many choices, and it's better that way. They know what they do well and they stick to it. First, you will have bread service and salad. The salad will be served as a quarter iceberg head, which you will cut up and apply three available dressings. The dressings can be applied individually, but are meant to be mixed. If done appropriately, you will have a soup of dressing after finishing your salad. I have never experienced a salad service like this anywhere else, and it is really fun to watch the uninitiated experience it for the first time. Second, you will get one of few protein options: beef filet, porterhouse, ribeye, or a few other, non-beef options, like swordfish, haddock, and chicken. Most people probably get the steak, and of any restaurant I have been to, this is one that you will get the exact doneness level you specify. Do not undercut your doneness to anticipate an overcooked steak - if you order medium rare, that is what you will get. The steak is delicious and is served from the open charcoal grill to your table via a charcoal heated platter, complete with a ladle of flavorful au jus. You can even watch the grill master prepare your steak; it is a unique and fun experience unlike any other restaurant I have been to. Third, you will receive a baked potato with sour cream and chives. Options aside from this are grilled onions and mushrooms. Fourth, you can get an ice cream drink for dessert, and that is about it. Very simple, very well done. It is refreshing to know a place that so understands their strong suits that they do not offer options they cannot deliver on. There are not many things left up to chance here. You will get the salad, you will get the potato, and you will get the steak or protein you ordered in the level of doneness you specify. And I am sure you will really enjoy the whole process.

What an absolute waste of time and money. No seasoning. Tough cuts of meat. Undercooked.read more

Either one you can't go wrong with. It is well worth the drive. The menu covers everything you could possibly think of. Steaks, fish, chicken and sandwiches. The service was also great. Our waitress had quite a sense of humor which added to our great time there. Along with friendly bartenders and a cozy back room to eat in, you will not be disappointed. Tom S.

We aren't, but thought it odd we were asked that. Then we were seated in the dining area, but sat there for 20 minutes and no one took our order, or even said a word to us. During this 20 minutes, I watched two kitchen staff try to stomp something, then stop when they saw me looking at them through the window. The blond waitress with a pony tail then looked at the bottom of the baking rack within the dining area, which prompted me to do the same. I saw what looked like a mouse, right next to a table of dining patrons. As I continued to wait for 20 minutes for our food order to be taken (never happened)I watched the mouse move around and eventually disappear, I can only assume right back into the kitchen. Neeless to say we left the premises and will not be back EVER. Do better Ed's Main Street, and call an exterminator while you are at it.

I get here rarely because I don't live here, but have a summer cottage in the area. Let me break down my dinner tonight for you below, and you can decide if you want to try it for yourself. Service - Spot on. Attentive, but not too attentive and very friendly. Appetizer - Truffle fries. Some people like truffle, some people hate truffle. Regardless of that, the fries were cooked to perfection! I cannot think of another french fry I've had that was better than these. Salad - Rarely do I eat all of my house salad, because honestly, they usually suck. This salad was fresh with a light lemon vinaigrette. I cleaned the plate. Bread - Great bread. I don't know if they make it in house, but the garlic butter that came with it was fantastic as well. Mains: Mine - Veal Schnitzel. The dish came with two large veal cutlets, broccolini, and a mountain of garlic mashed potatoes. I could only finish one of the cutlets. There was a dijonnaise drizzled across the plate which was a welcome acid to balance out the richness of the veal. broccolini is always good, and the potatoes were really good. My daughter(an adult) - Boneless braised short ribs in a red wine gravy. I have had this previously and it was great. I sampled some of her dinner and confirmed that it is still very tasty. It taste like someone had cooked the ribs with good seasoning for a long time. The sides were the same as mine, but when you have a couple solid sides, why bother with other randoms. Dessert - We shared a Strawberry creme brulee. I have no words to describe how good this is. Get it.
