My sisters, nephews and I went out on a Tuesday night. There were enough customers to take out 2…read moreboats, and we chose the Miss Cindy with Captain Tom. It was awesome and we all limited out (6 walleye each). Captain Tom was really helpful and seemed to genuinely enjoy his job. A few things to know; Take a cooler with some snacks and drinks. You may want a clip on flashlight for the bathroom (it's dark in there). If you're concerned about seasickness, you may want to pick up some Seabands (pressure point wristbands - you can buy these at Walmart in the pharmacy area). The crew will put your fish on a stringer. When you get back, you can take the fish to Drawbridge Marina (just around the corner) to be cleaned for a fee.

I was a little iffy writing this review considering I haven't actually visited this business…read more However, I do want to document the call I received this weekend in response to my husband and I not being able to show up for our reservation. I get it, I should've called, we got busy, we could not show up for the reservation I had scheduled. The response I got? A voicemail from an employee there, I won't name names (because what will that do?), that literally said "there's no way you wouldn't no show us because there's no way you would be that rude". Which was referring to the fact that we didn't show up without a phone call. Needless to say, they made me feel completely embarrassed, ashamed, and didn't even give me a chance to explain when I called back to apologize. Just further condescending tones. I'm in customer service, and I cannot believe the way you made me feel as a customer. You were bold enough to leave a voicemail like that. I'm sorry life got in the way. The fact that YOU turned away business and held a boat full of people because they were already there waiting for two complete strangers who made a FREE reservation, is beyond me (yes, the employee told me he did all this because 2 out of FOURTY people didn't show up). Thank you for the kindness of waiting, had we of just been a bit late. However, I'm not going to apologize for the treatment I received in response to a mistake I made and will take responsibility for/ In the end, don't not show up for your reservation, because heaven forbid life happens and you get left an ugly little message in your mailbox.
