After a lengthy conversation with an employee about recommendations on beach tents that were easy to assemble and held up well in the wind we ended up buying a Neso Grande from beach mart. We appreciated the UV protection it offered as well as our main reason for the purchase was to provide our young daughter some shade. We took it to the beach hours after purchasing only to realize that it was impossible to assemble, even with multiple people assisting, and that the wind appeared to be too much for the poles and sand bags, to handle. We attempted to take it back and were refused a refund by the employee(s) then the owner as they stayed it has "already been on the beach." My husband questioned "how are were supposed to know that it didn't work like we were led to believe had we not taken it to the beach?" but the manager stood firm. Now here we are at the beach, 171 dollars later with a tent we can't utilize. I would expect more from a self proclaimed family owned business. Would not recommend! read more

We've been going to Holden Beach for years, and a trip to Beach Mart has always been one of our beach week traditions. The kids especially love wandering around trying to see who can find the coolest souvenir to take home. However, the store has been getting more and more aggressive with their political stance since before the 2020 election. This year we couldn't help but notice the toilet/bicycle parked out front that basically warns Democrats or (gasp!) Republicans in name only that this isn't the place for them. We had a group of 7 adults and 6 kids and probably would have spent several hundred dollars there, but we left and spent our money at Lighthouse Gifts and Wings instead. I'm sure the owners probably wouldn't care, but I'm writing this review to warn others to steer clear. read more

Vacationing in Holden Beach is something my family looks forward to every few years. Every time we drive down the roads & over the bridge we reminiscence about all the fun houses we have stayed at, getting delicious seafood from Captain Pete's & Ludlum's Produce, playing PuttPutt followed up by a nice scoop of ice cream. We always stop by the Beach Mart, I like the way this store always smells the same, and has had the same shell jewelry hanging in the window since the 1980's. However this visit we didn't spend our money on our usual hats, flip flops and beer. Everyone in our various family groups (we altogether rented SIX houses) mentioned the hateful bicycle out in front of Beach Mart. Congratulations who ever owns and manages this store. You lost out on all of our purchases. I guess that this business makes so much money that they can afford to lose customers. I'm so happy that every other business in town is run by mature and polite individuals that welcome vacationers with a smile and not a toilet. It's obvious this guy is butt hurt-but please try to keep your dignity and not share your anal pain with those of us that have moved on. read more

From everyday beach necessities like food, drinks, and sunscreen to top designer brand beach and surf wear to souvenirs--The Beach Mart has it all and is truly "the store with more" as their slogan suggests. Each time I travel to the HB, I stop into The Beach Mart before I cross over to my beach rental. I pick up new Reef flip flops (and no, not because they have nifty bottle openers underneath the soles but because they have better arch support that most flip flops), I check out the latest surfer fashions (I've gotta look good when I'm walking the beach), and I pick up ice for my ice chest (they carry Cubelet Ice-- the best ice around). Then, I have a habit of returning to The Beach Mart several times during my stay in Holden Beach because they literally have everything!! And, if I'm being truthful, I probably visit about once a day while at the beach. :-) read more

This store gave me much to smile about! Friendly staff, excellent prices and merchandise that's more unique than my autistic hamster! I bought a pelican statue, a sailor statue and a tank top in there. The cashier gave me a nickel with an "I'VE BEEN TO THE BEACH MART" sticker on it when he gave me my change! It's a great little antique for my bedroom! They even had a box of Cheese Nips chilling in there too! This place has my heart, but I just wish I had more of its souvenirs. read more

Bought a beach umbrella, kids never used, it never left my house.so 3 days later I tried to return,with receipt, it was very obvious it had never been out of its original packaging. They refused. We can't take umbrellas back. So they obviously need a sign up about their return policy. Won't shop there again. And I'm a local. read more

Needing some souvenirs to take back to family and friends we decided to stop at the Beach Mart because it was larger and one of the only ones open out of season.So glad we did! This place has everything for all year long-convenient to the beach.The sweet lady working that day was so helpful and that made the experience even better! We left with a ton of great gifts and an interesting handful of "I've been to Beach Mart" pennies we decided to keep as our own souvenirs.Such a cute touch.For great gifts this is a must! read more

I like this place a lot been coming here for years. They have a lot of options cloths collectibles and such.

I went in here yesterday looking for a pair of Reef sandals and some t-shirts for my girls. The place was unorganized and confusing. Compared to some of the other beach shops they had better merchandise but it was way overpriced. $24 for a pair of Reef sandals identical to the ones I was wearing and paid $10 for. Kids t-shirts were almost $20 too. Save your money and go to Wings, they don't have Reefs but have many other items for a lot less. Kids t-shirts $5.99 or 2 for $10. People were friendly though, but kind of gave me the evil eye when I walked out empty handed. read more

The Beach Mart always has the coolest souveniers, beachwear, swimwear, floats, and stuff for kids and adults! It's nice to have a place where you can get groceries, souveniers, clothes and beach accessories all in one stop if you're on vacation and not sure where everything is in the area. A typical beach store with everything. They have all type of beach blow ups and will even blow them up for you. Clothes, lots of hats, toys, sunblock, and the list goes on. Very friendly too! Always a stop on our trip! read more
