I had previously promised him that I would show him my DNA blood test report from a hospital in China. So, I brought my DNA blood report to a nurse practitioner at this clinic. If I remember correctly, her name was Allison. When I arrived at the clinic, the nurse who checked my blood pressure and heart rate was very unfriendly. My hepatitis B virus test has been positive since childhood, but it is completely non-contagious. The only restriction is that I cannot donate blood. My twin daughters were born without the hepatitis B virus. However, this so-called medical professional actually told me that she needed to report my condition to the local infectious disease agency. I was speechless. How could a so-called medical professional lack such basic medical knowledge? Even now, passing by this clinic still makes me feel very uncomfortable. She made me rethink what it means to be a so-called medical professional in the United States. I encountered this just after returning from my parents' funeral in China in 2019. This in itself was adding insult to injury.

They all said they would have him call me, still no call (4 weeks later). They were late scheduling a very critical scan for me, and I had to do hours of phone calls with the insurance company to clear it up in time. Something that the medical assistant said "sorry there's nothing else we can do", even when I told her what needed to be done (details from the insurance agent). They simply do not care about their patients. I personally think the office staff is hiding most of this from the doctor. If he knew how bad they were, there's no way he would most of them. Dr. K is amazing, and genuinely cares and is a good doctor. But if you can never get through to him, it doesn't matter.

When I entered the office he was being seen, the receptionist asked Can I help you?" I said "No thank you, Im waiting for my husband." As I went to sit down She says again this time very Sharp and Nasty, "Can I help you!?" I again said "Im waiting for my husband" She was so nasty, I just went and sat in my car. I texted my husband to let me know and I will pull around and pick him up after his appointment is finished. There wasn't a sole in the reception area at the time. When his apt was over he told me the Dr. Treated him like some drug addict since he was taking pain medicine, just mentioning it he immediately had an attitude and never really got past that with any treatment plan. My husband has had back surgery a year prior and is obviously reluctant to go thru surgery again. He was NOT there for a pain medicine prescription! This Dr. Was lacking in compassion and knowledge of his patients history, obviously and quick to judge. My husband has since seen another Doctor who prescribed steroids, rest and a follow up if he doesn't improve. He is starting to improve and has been off the pain meds except for advil since. Would NOT recommend this Facility! Doctor Michael Dougherty needs some compassion training and should look at his patients file prior to visits so he has a clue who he's talking to. His office staff is lacking in common courtesy. I Still can't get over the poor treatment they give there.
