As we docked and got our Wi-Fi connection back I googled to find a chiropractor in the area. I'm from PA and have a wonderful chiropractor who has walk-in appointments 7 days a week. Dr. Wesley was the only doctor I could find that was opened on Saturday. I called and she was able to take me. I have to admit I was scared since I wasn't from the area and this new person was going to be adjusting my neck. I became even more leary when I arrived and she was teaching piano lessons...I even wondered if she was licensed!! However, after I talked with her and she gave me a thorough examine, really asking thought provoking questions about my history to make sense of my symptoms, I became much more comfortable and confident in her abilities as a doctor. Dr. Wesley then adjusted me, providing me with almost immediate results. I found that I really liked her physical adjustment techniques. She was able to relax me to easily adjust my neck and even my hips (which I freeze on even with my own chiropractor). Dr. Wesley was also able to provide me with ultrasound on my neck to reduce my high tension and alleviate the headache even more. Although acupuncture has helped me in the past and she was able to offer me that as well, time restraints had me decline. Although I knew I would have to pay out of pocket, Dr. Wesley emailed me a receipt and then sent an EOB to my insurance company so I will be reimbursed for the majority of my bill. I can't thank Dr. Wesley enough! I was so thankful for her help and was able to enjoy my vacation pain and headache free! If I lived in the area, she would be my chiropractor. At about #10 of 15 sessions I started feeling pain in my lower back which went from moderate to intolerable and my left leg started going numb. I finally told him about it, he angrily told me that it was because I did not have much left in my lower spine which he had been adjusting. After seeing my X-rays taken on site by Dr. Paul Grimm, I learned that my injuries were far greater than just discomfort and he set me up on a chiropractic plan that had me feeling good as new in about 12 weeks. I did not ask many questions( like will this definitely get me improvement). So I decided to do it, but it seemed like they were using me as a test subject, because they kept calling the manufacturer and changing what they called the protocol (they gave me ten free sessions , and I think that is why) Each time when I left the office. I felt a little better. It lasted a few hours then the pain came totally back. Then on my 9th free session i told Dr.James , that I really felt it did nothing for me and he said , well , it's hard with all that hardware , but I still pay them the three thousand dollars. I wish they had told me that before I decided to do this, but I don't think they were sure. Because this seemed to be something new to them, but I still paid the $3000.
