Within an hour of me calling they were delivered to my cousin who lives in LaGrange. She could not stop raving about everything in particular the chicken salad sandwich and the pasta salad. Kudos to them!! Thank you for all your telephonic help! Made the unfortunate task somewhat very smooth! I've ordered many salads from them when I visit family and it's a very casual and family oriented cafe/deli!

This location is conveniently located downtown and across from the courthouse. The perfect location. The staff offered wonderful southern hospitality. Sarah greeted us upon arrival and provided recommendations on menu items. My mother was very undecided. Sarah recommended the Queens panini and I ordered the Queens Chicken salad and a tomato bisque. Everything was excellent. I loved how spacious this restaurant is. The library was a nice touch as well.

We tried Ghent Sandwich Shop, a quintessential eastern NC diner, for breakfast on a cool Fall…read moreSaturday morning. It's definitely nothing fancy, but was clean with about half of the tables occupied when we arrived. My small omelet was served warm but was on the tiny side of small and arrived with a very skimpy portion of sausage, which was a $2.86 up charge. It was a meh. The "home fries" were sliced potatoes out of a can which had been fried earlier that morning and served cold. They were not good at all. My dining companion ordered the 1-egg breakfast. Her scrambled egg was cold. Our server was friendly but seemed very busy so she wasn't especially attentive. All in all, Ghent Sandwich Shop offered a very poor value with mediocre food. Restaurants absolutely need to make a reasonable profit, but this seemed like a rip off.

This shop is also very cute and welcoming, super clean and well decorated. I didn't find the service to be as friendly as the location in Morehead City, but it was still a bit early in the day so nbd.

She was very friendly and sweet and I'm sorry I did not get her name. I hope they have enough business to stay open here!! We will certainly be back.
