Bea's is great! I read one of the reviews where it says just call her if she's not around. Her number is next to the bell and on the whiteboard. Too bad I forgot to take a pic. I think the number is different than what is listed on Yelp. Anyways, I got there, parked in the little strip mall, called her, and she showed up in 3 minutes. I asked her for a beautiful flower arrangement. She asked if I wanted it to be colorful, I said yes. I asked her if it could be in a vase. She said it would cost more, which I said was fine. She doesn't have many vases, I think most customers just get a bouquet. She had a huge glass vase and arranged flowers in 5 minutes! You can tell her what you want, I told her to just name whatever she thinks is nice. This is what I got, lots of lilies, sunflowers, etc. And it smelled wonderful. $60, includes the vase. It's a huge arrangement that at Ralph's goes for over $100 and who knows how much at fancy florist shops! What I appreciated most was the ease, and that she and her stand is open 24 hours. Do not recommend. Came in for Mother's Day. She FIRST asked me how much money I wanted to spend. I asked what her prices were for a basic arrangement she said very clearly they started at $30 --I agreed. I then get charged $90 and asked if there was a mistake. she says no prices actually start at $80 for a floral arrangement. I live in the neighborhood and have driven by this cute plant and flower stand for years meaning to stop by. I finally stopped by yesterday, but the shop owner wasn't there at the time. I gave a call to the number but didn't get an answer. As I was driving home I got a call back and wasn't able to answer. We exchanged a couple of texts. Today I received a call from the owner and I told her I would stop by after work for a bouquet. She made a beautiful, generous bouquet that I planned to give to my partner who had recently had some upsetting news. The shop owner and I talked for several minutes and she was so personable and friendly. She took great care to arrange the special bouquet. Needed a last minute bouquet made for Valentines, & she came through. PRICEY AF but it was also literally Valentine's Day so that's probably why. Got a bouquet with a mixture of deep red roses and orange & burgundy Lillies. 5 roses & 4 Lillies wrapped was $96. We were able to pick the flowers and she put them together right on the spot. It was a LONG line we waited about 30mins in line AND parking is WILD. Park across the street and walk over. read more

I pre-ordered 2 orders of flowers for Mothers Day the Wednesday before Mothers Day. I arrived Mothers Day to pick up my order. Neither of the orders were ready. The lady was very rude and acted like she had no idea what I was talking about when I showed my receipt and text message that gave specific details about my orders and what I requested. She put together a real skimpy arrangement that was nowhere near worth the $75 per arrangement that I paid. While waiting in line for my order a gentleman that came in behind me was acknowledged and serviced before me. Luckily he was courteous and advised the lady that I was there before him and to assist me. The lady was rude to me and threw together an arrangement ot even close to the same size that I saw at Trader Joe's for $20! Highly disappointed and I will never do business with this place ever again. Save your money and time and buy your flowers from somewhere else. read more

Came here to support a local business instead of buying some crappy flowers at the grocery store. When I got here at like 10:35 there was no one here. There is a business card by the bell that you can ring that has the owner's phone number on it. If she's not around just call her cell phone number and let her know you'd like to buy flowers and she'll pop right over. Make sure you have an extra few minutes to spare. I told her I had 20 dollars, and wanted a bouquet for my friend's birthday and she likes pink. She made me a really beautiful bouquet featuring an assortment of flowers with contrasting colors to make the pink pop, and the eucalyptus in the bouquet was a lovely herbal smelling touch that blended well with the sweet floral scents. You get something much more personal, and interesting if you come here rather than picking something out at the grocery store. Good prices, and there are also an assortment of potted plants. Definitely coming back here for more flowers in the future. read more

I came to this flower stand on a Saturday morning around 10a. I was in desperate need of an arrangement for a birthday and thought it would be nice to support a local small business. When I arrived there were beautiful arrangements and a stand that appeared to be open but no one in sight. I looked around and saw some arrangements that I liked so I waited a bit for someone to show up. Since it appeared to be open I assumed the owner wasn't far. After awhile I rang the bell and waited... nothing. Then I went into the other nearby establishments and inquired, thinking maybe they'd run inside for something, no luck. Finally I tried calling the number that was posted on the stand which went straight to voicemail. I called a different number associated with the business, same thing. After about 25 minutes of waiting, calling, and trying to locate someone to pay I eventually gave up and went across the street to Sprouts for an orchid. Sad day. The owner eventually called me back, about four hours later which was way too late as I was en route out of town. read more

Get her cell number from the cards on the counter - she is available day, night, whenever. What to expect / how to have the best experience: call ten minutes in advance to make sure she's there, and know what you want. Then, show up, and you can have a beautiful bouquet for $30-$40 dollars (or whatever you want to pay) made specifically to your liking. I assumed that there was no way a high quality florist could be located in this little mini-mart parking lot on the busy corner of La Brea and San Vicente. Well we've been to this fantastic florist twice in the last few weeks and now I'm looking for opportunities to make up for lost time! The gracious and kind florist worked with us and made something very special each time. Both times we left completely delighted, with a fresh, beautiful, original bouquet. We made selections together from the surprisingly nice variety of flowers, given the tiny location. Amazingly, she's open until 11 pm. We've ordered from here several times now and delivery is a real problem. The flowers are beautiful, the price is good, but they take way too long to deliver. If you order in the morning for an early afternoon delivery, it may get not there until late at night. One Valentine's Day the roses were delivered at 10:30 pm even though I preordered three days earlier. But that's Valentine's Day... okay, it's their busiest day. But every other time, we have had to follow up multiple times to find out when the flowers will be delivered. Irritating to say the least. Point being, don't use them for flower delivery. I made a Valentines Day bouquet order two days before the holiday. I offered a two day window for delivery and paid more than anticipated in order to support this business, which has been good in the past. The day before VDay, no delivery. Fine. VDay arrived and by 3pm, I hadn't heard anything (though Maria said she'd announce delivery). No response to my text about delivery time. By 7p, I text again asking for a refund. Then she calls claiming they were delivered. They were not. She then suggests they may be at the wrong address. No apology. I reaffirm, kindly, that it's late and I'd just like a refund. She says she will contact me the following day. I don't hear from her so I call at 4p. She's curt, requesting the original receipt, and noncommittal about the timeline for the refund. "I'm busy," she says. Having heard nothing from her, I cancel with my credit card company the following day. Horrible experience. No apology. No admission of error. Never again. read more
