I've been coming to Be My Nails Salon for about 10 years, so it's honestly disappointing to see how much the experience has changed. The previous staff was always wonderful--knowledgeable, caring, attentive, and genuinely made you feel like a valued customer. There was a warmth and familiarity to the salon that kept me coming back for so many years. Since the change in ownership and the departure of the previous staff, the salon just doesn't have the same energy anymore. The newer staff unfortunately haven't provided the same level of attentiveness or customer service that I had grown accustomed to over the years. On top of that, the prices have increased quite a bit, and personally, I don't feel the current experience justifies the higher cost. It's especially disappointing because this was a salon I was loyal to for such a long time. I took my daughter here to get her nails done yesterday, and 20 mins after she got an allergic reaction- that has turned into a 48 hour body hive. I had to take her to urgent care and this was the only thing different we did yesterday; was get our nails done. I came in to ask for a refund & they would not give it to me and did not apologize or take any accountability. So disappointing. Crooked nails/ not matched/ not trimmed similarly (diff shape/ not actually shaped)... not cleaned well and painting was not good. I asked her to "fix" the big toe, so she coated it again, but overall cannot justify ever returning especially for the price. Called around noon on Saturday to see if my friend and I were able to come in for a mani/pedi, and pedi appointment. We made the appointment for 2:30 so we can eat brunch and get a boba before coming. We arrived and were immediately assisted. I got a pedicure only and did French tips. The deluxe pedicure was $45 and French tips were $10. The deluxe pedicure included a lavender scrub as well as a mint masque for the legs. For $45 to get a scrub, masque, and hot stone massage, this is a pretty good price for this day and age. The person that helped me was pretty good. She cut down my nails and cut around the cuticles in the normal order, which I have no complaints on. The French tips were painted pretty good too, the only thing is that $10 is pretty expensive for it, as it it's usually $5. The massage chair was excellent. I'm really sad that this place has changed so much under new management. I went in for a pedicure and all my previous favorite techs were gone. I was immediately suspicious when my nail tech, Hannah, brought out all of the tools separately and not in a sterilized pack, like they used to. Then, she used one of her tools to tear open the packaging on the bath bomb for my pedicure, then USED THE SAME TOOL to clean under my toenails. Later, she "cleaned" her tools in the bath bomb water that my feet were soaking in. She was super rough with cutting my nails and cuticles, and I tried to stop her and ask her to be more gentle, but she couldn't understand. Nobody was around to help translate. was debating about posting this but i decided i needed to update my review. for a few years i have been coming to the salon on and off, and the customer service has changed a lot since Tyra has left. I usually went to a person named Helen but she's been gone for quite a while, only to find out she won't be returning. Yesterday on September 16th, I decided to go in since i was in the area running errands and i had my 5 month old baby with me. This was a first time for me to bring in my baby but he was fine on my lap with very little movement, but not once did my baby cry or scream or anything related. I felt like the situation was fine, until the nail tech had stated she would preferred my baby be in his car seat and asked me where his car seat was and also said "your baby moves too much" when all he is doing is sitting on my lap. i stated his car seat is in the car, and he was fine on my lap. she then decided to speak to one of the ladies in Vietnamese then decided to tell me one of the ladies would hold my baby to "help me out". I immediately said no. My baby was perfectly fine on my lap, not even being fussy or anything. I was very offended by the nail tech trying to have someone else hold my baby. not once, but twice. the other nail tech held out her arms to hold my baby, and i still said no my baby is fine with me. i am a first time mom, i have seen other ladies with their babies/kids in the salon before and i've never ever heard other nail techs say that to their clients. i would've been perfectly fine with not being serviced if me having my baby was something that was an issue. i will never be coming back ever again. such a disappointment to see how this salon's customer service go downhill read more

My two friends and I just walked in without an appointment and we were able to get our nails done which was great. The service was fine and the nails were good. The problem we had was with the pricing and how they charged us. We said we would pay separate and my first friend had to pay $75 and me and my second friend were like okay we should get charged less because our first friend got pink nails and a design on all ten fingers. My first friends nail tech gave glance for 0.0001 seconds at my nails and she said oh yeah you pay $75 and then she looked at my second friends set and said $75 for you too. I understood that my set could be the same price because I got long nails and a more complicated design. However my second friends set was simple af (picture attached below) and was charged the same as me and my first friend. I went on my Snapchat and asked people who I knew got their nails done frequently if this set was worth it what we paid for and 10+ people replied and they all said they overcharged my second friend. 10/12/2020 I've avoided salons of any sort for over 6 months since covid started. I decided to go on a weekday- Monday when I assume it isn't as busy and towards the end of the day (5:45). I called to ensure there was availability and wasn't busy. They check temps at the door before entry. I was offered water in which I declined and sat in a far off pedi massage chair in a far corner which I didn't mind. Prices have gone up about $10 for all Pedi services. French also is up $5 now costing $10 to add vs the previous $5. I opted for the ultimate signature pedi at $55 with French totaling $65. I did opt for regular polish vs gel which would have added another $10. I chose the spa pearl scent packet across a few other optional scents (lavender, mint, jasmine, etc) - I ended up liking the scent I chose. Kind of hard to describe but it has a light floral note to the lotion. My nail tech was ok. Wasn't talkative and was nice when she spoke. I had her correct the edges so it wasn't so sharp (blunt cut square tip) and she attempted on one toe but not all of them. The paint job wasn't the best but not the worst for French. When I inquired for an adjustment on a couple (as they were crooked and uneven), she mentioned I had curved toenails and she can't correct it. (Uhhh ok, not my first French pedi and never heard that excuse). I didn't want to push the issue so I got home so got up to pay, tip and left and fixed it at home. They don't let you hang out to dry the polish anymore as stated on the menu due to "social distance" despite that no one was really there. Once you leave, they will not fix any smudges. I did get one toe smudged due to it not being dry. *shrugs* They are not honoring or offering any stamp visits. I'll just leave the same review rating. Not great but not worst. read more

I've been going here consistently since 2020 and have never had issues. Yesterday, I came in for a pedicure and I usually just go with whoever's available at the time because I trusted this salon. I noticed the pedicure was more painful than usual after my nail tech seemed to cut too much off of one of my toes. Later in the day, my toe began to swell up and hurt. I didn't think much of it until the next morning, because it became hard to walk. Two of my toe nails are infected and are leaking pus. I've NEVER had this happen to me at ANY nail salon. Be cautious of who does your nails at this place. I've been contemplating writing this review for months cause I really liked this place. I've been coming here for years and usually receive good service. Last year, they hired a bunch of new ladies and the lady that did my pedicure was horrible and clearly did not know what she was doing. It was during the time I noticed when Tyra was gone. The lady dug her tool half way underneath my toe bed causing me to get an infection. When she did it, I jumped. It hurt. I never had someone do that before. Since then, my toe nail has not been the same. I've been trying to get it back to normal and I have been seeing a podiatrist for months. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. to preface, i paid $100 for a full set of acrylics AND left a $20 tip. i've had acrylic nails multiple times before and they NEVER snapped, chipped, or broke off no matter how hard i hit them against something. i just got my nails done at this place TWO DAYS AGO and they ALREADY BROKE. i was just putting on my shoes carefully when my right pointer nail snapped. not only did my acrylic nail snap in half, my natural nail is bleeding because of it. my prom is in two days so i can't get them redone without risking infection. for the price i paid, these should've AT LEAST lasted two weeks. now, i have to go to prom with a broken, bleeding nail. i would give 0 stars if i could. P.S. the apex of the acrylic nail that broke is practically nonexistent which definitely contributed to the weakness of these nails. PLEASE look at the picture of the apex that i posted on this review. you can clearly see how thin the applied acrylic is and how flat it is. this is NOT how the apex of a long acrylic nail is supposed to look like. remember that i paid $120 for these nails. i shouldn't have to be complaining about quality like this. i would like to emphasize on the fact that not only did the acrylic break, but my natural nail is broken and bleeding too. therefore, i can't just "get it redone." i got these nails for prom which is in two days. my nail will not grow out in time to get a fix before prom. i didn't pay $120 for nails that last two days. read more

I moved and was recently given a recommendation to try this place. I LOVED my last nail salon but the drive is too far. So I tried This place. Are they pricey? Slightly (maybe $7 more per treatment than my last place) but you get what you pay for right? I was not disappointed. My friend recommended Cindy and she did and outstanding job. She cut my nails short (exactly the way I like them) and didn't argue with me about why I should wear them longer. YAY! They were equal to, if not better than my last place. The salon is clean, not too loud, easy to get to, and they keep their doors open so there's lots of airflow, which I appreciate. She was super polite and friendly. The only thing is that when I told her I didn't like the scribbles on the design, she says marble isn't always going to look the same as the picture. This review is long over due! I can't recommend Be My Nails, specifically TYRA, enough! I swear she is like my nail fairy. I show up with a picture inspo and BAM! She delivers. She also listens to my requests, like getting my cuticles, going short (doesn't guilt trip me into not cutting or going longer or can't do this because your nails aren't long enough) or making sure that my nail designs are symmetrical to each other. My boyfriend gets his nails done by Tyra as well and he loves it just as much! He goes all out with designs too LOL so men, this can be your nail spot too! As far as pedicure services, I always leave satisfied. Recently they have upped their pedicure services, so it feels like they are progressing and innovating as the nail biz evolves. I have been getting gel manicures every three weeks, and this was my first time trying Be My Nail. Unfortunately, it turned out to be my worst experience ever!!! I had booked a gel manicure, and the technician, a male, filed my nails down to an extremely thin state. They were so fragile that they were on the verge of breaking. I had to stop the service before he could apply the gel color because my nails were already damaged. One of other technicians noticed how thin my nails were and even apologized, but despite that, I was still charged $20?! Seriously? To make matters worse, the owner's response when I raised my concerns was, "What's wrong with you?" and she was rude which I found completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I paid the $20, but I'm left feeling very dissatisfied. Is this the kind of treatment your customers should expect? My nails are now very uncomfortable, just touching them causes them to bend, and I fear they'll get injured easily. Each one is red and as thin as paper. I had to trim all my nails as short as possible to prevent injury, but even then, they still feel very uncomfortable! Worst experience ever! I'll never come here again! read more

I was getting acrylics for the first time ever because I was going on vacation and wanted to splurge a little. We got there on a Friday at around 10:30am and there were already so many customers. We were immediately seated though since they have many counters. They offered us drinks too. My nail tech asked me what color I had in mind and I said "Maybe...pink idk yet". She brought me the color book and after thinking about the colors, I decided I wanted a mauvey pink instead and so I pointed the color to my nail tech. She proceeds to go, "That's not pink." in a rude manner. I was taken aback. I knew it wasn't exactly pink but it was the shade I wanted instead. I shook it off and just continued getting my nails done. The accent nail that I chose were freeze dried flowers. She did a great job but eventually added gold flakes because she wasn't completely satisfied with her work. I really liked it though. After getting all my nails painted, I could tell other nail techs were talking to my nailtech about my nails. After a while, the other nailtech goes, "Next time, you should choose a different color. It doesn't match the flowers. Next time, you should choose a light color, it would look better." Yeah...that's when I realized I'm never coming back despite them doing a pretty good job. I was surprised they would so boldly force their opinions into others like that. I do think my nailtech did good however I value excellent customer service a lot more. read more

I have been regularly coming here for all my manicure/pedicure needs for the past 6 months or so. I'm usually treated well and leave very happy with my dipped powder nails but my recent trip this past Friday afternoon was not the usual quality service I receive. Dip powder set is my go-to so I am pretty familiar with the process. They use a sealant, dip my finger in the colored powder then dust the sides for excess powder with a fan brush. However the last nail tech I went to, Minh (She was wearing this name tag so I believe that's her name) did not follow this procedure at all. She left so much powder on the sides of my fingers which eventually dried on there because of the UV light. It looked so messy and she didn't bother to clean it at all. She was definitely in a rush to finish. On top of that, she asked if I wanted to clean my cuticles. I said yes unknowingly that it's an extra $5 charge. That's my fault for not asking before she started on it. While she was cleaning my skin, she cut around my fingers at least 4 times. I didn't see the scabs forming until the day after but I saw there was dried blood around my cuticles. I have posted photos documenting everything above. I will still return to this shop because I enjoy my dipped powder nails from the other nail techs in the past but I don't recommend Minh. Please speak up to your nail techs if you're unhappy. Sadly, I just wanted to pay and leave because I wanted to avoid the awkwardness with her sitting in front of me. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. This used to be my favorite nail salon despite their increasing prices through the years because I always had good quality with my acrylics. Q left, that sucked. Still kept going. They decided to up their prices during the pandemic. I come in for these set of nails which cost me $90 (i'm not cheap, you'll see why this matters) . Same night my middle finger nail breaks so easily I couldn't even feel it break. I have been getting long acrylics for over years and am VERY careful and don't ever break nails from here. First fix was done quick and as you can see the picture CROOOKED and thick and ugly. How you gonna leave my finger like that?? Whatever. Second broken nail really got me mad bc I was just at home picking up a book ( i work from home , no heavy lifting ever ) so i go back and they try to fix but go on about trying to blame it on ME! It seems like they're just hiring people with no experience?! I usually go to whoever (I think they gave me a newbie). The lady took a little bit over 3 hours to get my nails and pedicure done. At first i asked the lady to fix my middle nail because it was slanted. She started to explain why it was slanted in viet...(doesnt matter because i just want my nails fixed) but i never had an issue with the other ladies. I told her to take it off instead of filing it because it would come out shorter. She didnt listen to me and filed it down anyways. Now my issue is that its UNEVEN! I didnt want to get my feet done anymore but she insisted me to sit down. I had already had a bad feeling.... I didnt really look at my feet until i got home.... The lady did not care to file my toes down. This is something i could do at home! As you can see, the shape is messed up! When she got done doing my feet i told the lady my nails were uneven and i wanted her to fix them. She fixed it but now it's slanted again.... Unfortunately had a bad experience here the last time I went and don't think I will be returning because their practices are a little questionable. I went into get a new set done and needed to get my gel-x set removed. The tech that I was working with used a nail extension tip to dig under the gel x to rip it off my natural nails instead of soaking it off which resulted in damage to my natural nails.
