This restaurant had nice patio seating that was full but they were able to seat us inside. Staff was attentive and had a fairly good grasp on English. We all got a variety of tapas and coffee drinks. Many tried the bombón which was like a shot with a tube of sweetened condensed milk. If you like sweet, they said it was good. The goat cheese pastry was very tasty. The octopus unfortunately was a bit tougher than I cared for. The eggplant was very unique and something I've never had like that. Would definitely have again though. Service is slightly slow because of the amount of people that they serve at any given time. So yes understandably, you will probably have to flag your waiter/waitress if you want anything after your initial order is taken because it can seem a little chaotic. The place is total old school Andalusia. How about the food? The food is just as authentic as the look of this place, which is always packed. I had the typical tomato salad with fish which is always delicious because the basic ingredients are always so fresh. Tomatoes stand out here because they are soo good. I enjoyed patatas bravas, salpicon, gildas, jamon, olives and croquetas de toro. What better to wash it all down with than a cup of Jerez amontillado and a glass of tinto de verano. Those that have left mediocre reveiws probably don't know what to expect or have no idea what to order, which, will probably end in an unfavorable experience. If you want a genuine experience of Malaga, then this place should be on your list of places to eat.
