I arrived in Ashland last summer thrilled to have returned to my favorite little town but queasy about where I was going to get my hair done. I had even brought my formula with me but I was NOT looking forward to walking into a salon cold turkey. Three days after I arrived I met someone whose color I admired. She sent me to Britta at Be Cherished. I walked in asap for a consult and even tho I had just had my hair colored and cut before I left my other town, I made an appointment. Britta took me by the hand and slowly and lovingly changed my hairstyle. She zipped up my color. I felt like a new woman! I loved her vision of me. I have always been reluctant to trust hair stylists but I trust Britta completely. With every compliment I handed out her card. Sometimes to strangers on the street! . My experience with Britta gave me the confidence to find an Aveda Salon in ther part-time city. I just returned to town for another 4 months and was so pleased to see Susan, Jessica, Joy, and-of course- Britta again. They gave me such a warm welcome. Before meeting Susan, getting a perm was a worrisome experience. Having naturally straight hair yet really wanting some gentle curls, the commercial perms usually left me with extremely dry and ever increasing damaged hair. But Susan's wonderful expertise and gentle touch and understanding of how to handle various hair conditions, coupled with her knowledge of the Aveda products, has changed the perm experience to a comfortable and relaxing treat! I have been going to Be Cherished since it started and Susan has always given me such a wonderful experience. My hair cut and color are just what I want--she really listens to me and makes suggestions if I'm not sure. I always get compliments on my hairstyle. I loved! My experience at Be Cherish. The staff is very nice and knowledgable. I was hesitant to color my hair until I saw that hey have natural, plant base colors. I had a color in mind but she showed me a sample of how the color would look, and suggested an alternative. She was right I was very please with the look. She also cut my hair and it look fantastic. I'm not usually the salon type, because many of them feel a bit stuffy and..well..fake. The lovely women at Be Cherished were genuinely kind and at ease. Be Cherished is a friendly salon with a spa atmosphere and some very talented and caring people. I found Be Cherished after my hair was totally ruined by someone else almost a year ago and I have never thought of going anywhere else since. My color and cut tonight was perfect and done by Susan although she is not the only one who has worked on my hair. Hayley is great! I moved to Ashland, and needed a haircut and weave so I could look my best officiating a wedding. Hayley had never laid eyes on me before and gave my short, fine hair a perfect cut. Great salon, Hayley is great at cutting hair, and will not cut it too short. She is fun to talk to also.
