Social distancing is applied but still plenty of tables and seats - inside or out. You can walk up and order or use the QR code and order from the table by mobile. Service is friendly and not too shabby. Ordered the scrambled eggs which is a bit extra cost - overall good, poached eggs for my better half were good - mushies as a side were not to my taste - cannot say a negative. As my great aunt would say it's "quite nice"

I've had the Lacuna Benedict on both occasions with the hollandaise on the side and avo added (as everything is better with avo!) The poached eggs were perfectly cooked and deliciously oozy. The potato and feta hash browns soaked up the oozy yolk and the smoky bacon tied it all together. H had the Big Lacuna, and it certainly lived up to its name. With toasted Turkish bread, eggs, garlic mushies, pork sausages, smoky bacon, potato and feta hash browns, and tomato relish it was a huge meal. With delicious food and breakfast being served until 2pm this place is definitely worth repeated visits.

Coffee was fine and well made, even if their process might need a little refining. The barista running coffee to tables while takeaways are waiting about 20mins for coffee is a little frustrating and cost them the one star! Everyone was happy and no signs of attitude and to be fair they seemed to have just had a huge influx of clients (2 buses had recently arrived). I'll go again, but probably not when I'm in a hurry!

And maybe I was sun-drunk from sitting out the front with Spring's sun rays beaming down on me, or maybe (as I suspect) after more than a year serving their eats to hungry breakfast hunters, Nana & Da's have found their groove. When I first visited, it was their first week in business and since then they've settled into their cottage cafe. I was pleased to discover they're still pouring Supreme beans and my long iced black was the best accompaniment to a hot Spring day. There's an all day breakfast and a hearty lunch menu featuring items like beef brisket and plenty of vegetables! And, if you're only in the market for elevensies, check out the cake cabinet by the counter - lemon tea cake, raspberry friands - they're all there. I opted to order from the all day breakfast menu and honed straight in one the three cheese toast with buttered asparagus. Regardless of what time of day you're eating this it isn't a large meal - more of an ample snack. It's perfect if you just want something to tide you over or you find yourself not particularly hungry but everyone else is ordering that stack of pancakes.

Yep, my cafe snobbery was well and truly in action but here, in this Yelp review, I'm reminding myself one should never judge a book by it's cover. Cafe Noma is another in a series of suburban gems gracing Brisbane's outer 'hoods and making a name for itself among locals. I've been a few times now and there's sure to be a few more - if only to try the kefir soaked oats. They're pouring Merlo coffee and have a menu chockers with standard cafe eats and many with a (on trend) healthy twist. The long blacks I've ordered have always been on-point (or fleek as the kids are saying these days) and it's been a space to sit and enjoy the moment rather than rush.
