I have suffered from Vertigo for 30 years. I started seeing Mary about 3 years ago and after my 3rd…read moreor 4th treatment from her, I no longer had the Vertigo symptoms. She truly has healing hands. Unfortunately, I was recently in a car accident and I started suffering from Vertigo again. I instantly called to set up an appointment and have already started feeling relief. She is very intelligent and wants to help you be the best you that you can be. I enjoy the massages and her company.

From the owner: Trigger Point Massage therapy is all about relieving my clients of any discomfort and pain. When…read moreyou are experiencing muscle pain, it may be due to an accident, overuse or even excess physical exercise. The muscle is locked into the contractile mode and is working against your movement and causing pain. Trigger Point Massage therapy releases the stuck muscle and allows mobility to be restored. A trigger point is a tight area within muscle tissue that causes pain in other parts of the body. A trigger point in the back, for example, may produce referral pain in the neck. The neck, now acting as a satellite trigger point, may then cause pain in the head. The pain may be sharp and intense or a dull ache. Trigger Point Massage therapy is specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release. In this type of massage for trigger point therapy, the recipient actively participates through deep breathing as well as identifying the exact location and intensity of the discomfort. The results and benefits of Trigger Point Massage therapy are releasing constricted areas in the muscles thus alleviating pain. You can experience a significant decrease in pain after just one treatment. Receiving massages with trigger point therapy on a regular basis can help naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries.

If you're in need of a deep tissue massage, this is the place to go! Both therapists, Crystal and…read moreShaun, are excellent. I've been working with Crystal for about a year now. I'm an active individual with some knee issues and her massages have helped to alleviate some of my muscular pain as well as help to improve my flexibility. Well worth the visit!

I moved back to Jacksonville two years ago at the start of the pandemic. Everything was put on…read morehold, doctors visits, yoga classes, getting adjusted and monthly massages. I had severe knots in my shoulders and neck and was desperate for a therapist but didn't know where to go too. Luckily my coworker recommended me to go to Massage in Session and it was conveniently located to Avondale. Now I am very picky about my therapist but was so relieved when my first session was completed. Crystal took out some of my knots (I already made my next appointment) and know it will take several sessions to get them completely out. What I didn't realize was how truly messed up I was. My thighs were tight, my one hip locked up and she was able to pop it back in place. Even with yoga and stretching that one hip has been a problem. She literally healed me. I'm excited and look forward to my next appointment and to complete healing. I am very fortunate to have really amazing insurance that covers the cost and I just have to pay the copay. I truly believe in massage therapy and that it's one of the things that people should incorporate in their well being. Unfortunately many people feel that getting a massage is a luxury and not an essential part of staying fit. If you're able to get insurance to cover some of the cots, I can guarantee monthly massages will get rid of the majority of health issues you encounter. And hopefully you don't wait until the pain is too severe. And if you're looking for a professional massage therapist in Riverside/Avondale area, you found your place.
