    The decision to hire this company is a decision that my husband and I will have to live with for…read morethe rest of our lives. We hired them for month of planning and for our rentals. They state they have a 3-day response time for emails, but some of our emails took them 10 days to respond to. By the end, we had to beg them to respond to our emails because we were running out of time. On the day they ignored explicit instructions from us, did not execute tasks they told us they would, and even dismissed workers early. They were rude to us and our families on our wedding day. The vendors they recommended to us were unprofessional, were drinking at our wedding, and also did not follow basic instructions. After the wedding they did not immediately refund our deposit. Weeks later, they claimed that several items were broken and lost, all adding up to the exact amount of the deposit. Then they claimed that they would refund us because our caterer had agreed to pay for the items. They eventually did pay us only after repeated attempts to recover the deposit. Not only did we provide written instructions asking them to inventory items before leaving the site, this is also common practice for the day of coordinator. Our wedding turned out beautiful in spite of this company and we are so grateful to some of our other vendors, our friends and family.

She writes meeting notes for every meeting you have with her - there is always a todo list for you & todo list for her included. 2. Her vendor communication is clear - she not only listened to your preferences, but she documented them in her meeting notes. You are confident that she is aware. This allows her to reply to all vendors exactly with your preferences. 3. You do not have to micromanage her - she already is asking the questions that need to be asked and organizing what you said you wanted (all cc-ed, so you can follow along on the status). 4. No matter how detailed oriented you want the wedding to be, she is right there with you - because she is the MOST detail-oriented. She can handle your complex wedding venue. 5. She anticipates problems and asks you what you would want if something came up. Everything is anticipated ahead of time with a plan A, B & C. 6. She is easy to get along with - for you and vendors alike. Partial planning with Sharon is 100% the way to go. You'll have fun in the wedding process - you get to have a wedding that represents you, you get to participate in opinions & you don't have to stress that it will all come together. As someone who had 2 weddings 1 month apart & 2 wedding planners, I can objectively say Sharon is a true PLANNER. I cannot stress enough that this is what you need - you don't need someone to be social & "understand your vibe" (though Sharon is & did for us). My best wedding planning advice is do not forget you are hiring a wedding PLANNER to be a good PLANNER. If you don't choose Sharon, good luck out there - choosing a wedding planner is a terrifying place to be! I've had both the experience you want & your worst nightmare ~ Sharon was the former.

    Sharon was honestly a lifesaver when it came to everything she did for our wedding. As our day-of…read morewedding coordinator, she took initiative on the planning duties a month before the event. On the first day she started working with us, Sharon walked us through her own checklist of what needed to be done, took notes on what we had been working on (i.e. vendors, linens, guest lists, etc.), and was able to compile the information into a solid plan for our wedding day. We met with Sharon each week thereafter over Zoom to discuss how the planning was progressing, where she helped us put together a weekly set of tasks to make sure every detail was taken care of and on schedule. When there was an issue with a vendor, she became our point of contact. Where there was need for clarification concerning something on the itinerary, she made sure it was resolved. Using her knowledge of the wedding industry, Sharon helped refine our ideas to ensure that our vision of a perfect wedding would become a reality. Sharon was the consummate professional, giving prompt and detailed responses to questions by email. We could not imagine not having Sharon by our side on the weekend of our wedding! She flew in from LA to meet us in Napa for our rehearsal and walked through each and every bit of our event with everyone involved. She has so much experience yet never stops to answer our infinite amount of questions or clarify each and every step of the event with us thoroughly until we felt comfortable. On the "big day" she arrived early and was beginning to set up the venue while we got ready. Just knowing she was there was a relief to know things were going to be just fine. Her improvisation is amazing! Little things that we did not anticipate going right she had a perfect solution for, not even needing us to stress about it. One of the tasks she helped with was packing up our cars before the event wrapped up. She asked for a list of which items belongs to who, whether it was the vendor's or a friend's. Sharon then gathered and stored of the belongings in each person's car for easy clean up. It could not have been more easy with Sharon's helping hand and meticulous planning. The thing we appreciated most about Sharon was her friendly demeanor and proactive approach to coordinating our wedding. As thorough and organized as she was, Sharon completely put our minds at ease. Sharon truly served as an invaluable partner throughout the process. Thank you so much Sharon for all that you did!

Pat and Kari came over the night before and set up all of the vines and trees and then Kari came the morning of and decorated the cake, and made everything perfect before, during and after the party!!! Well, let me tell you... this team went above and beyond to accomplish this eccentric bride's dream wedding!! Take it from me, weddings can be super overwhelming for a bride. Like decisions of what color napkins look good on the sweetheart table to how they coordinate with the linens on the cocktail tables, to making sure all the build staff are on the same page behind the scenes, to paperwork and communicating with all the dozens of vendors. I could not imagine doing this by myself! My head would have exploded! Not only was the design and organizing aspect completely handled and managed by the team, Kari was my personal therapist through months of planning and dealing with typical wedding pressures. Kari is a powerful force who gets the job done. She will let you cry on her shoulder and she will step up for you if you need someone who can grab 'em by the balls! I recommend Kari and Pat completely and if I had to do it all over again, I would hire them again and again. I plan to hire them when we renew our vows in 10 years and I'm sure I'll come up with an even more elaborate theme for them to play with. Working with Kari and Pat Frey Designs was the most therapeutic experience of the entire wedding. We found the Say I Do to Details team online and I was highly impressed by their good reviews. Their planning exceeded my expectations. From being always available, to providing suggestions and insight into timeline, and coordinating everything so well the day of, their team is simply the best. I admire their passion for planning and it was so incredible working with them. I worked with Paola and Sandra directly and Sandra was there day of. Paola and Sandra are very experienced, professional, and kind. Both were actively involved in the planning process. I'm extremely type A and it's hard for me to trust people to take over (especially when I knew it was one of the most important days in my life) and take on tasks, but I trusted them 100%. To start off, they have a lot of experience working at Terannea, which made things a lot easier for us and helped things run smoothly. Moreover, the vendors I selected knew of Paola and Sandra and their team and I admired their good reputation in the wedding industry. Knowing what I know now, it would have been easier for me to have hired them as full on planning instead of day of coordination just because they're so good at what they do that I really trust every decision they make. I keep getting comments from my family and friends that the wedding was one of the best they've been to. Moreover I've received many comments specifically from my bridal party and close family about the incredible planning team keeping the day so smooth and on track. There's a trend on social media about "wedding regrets" and my husband and I keep saying to eachother thankfully that we have zero regrets. Every vendor was amazing and the planning team really went above and beyond what was asked of them and for that I'm forever grateful. Although…read moreHeather communicated very well, there were a couple of incidents that I found slightly unprofessional: 1. I signed a contract with one of her staff as my wedding planner. Unfortunately, from my understanding, there were unexpected changes in the company, so Heather had to take over. However, Heather responded that she would make an exception for me and not charge me an additional $1000 for this change. With all due respect, I should not be financially penalized for changes that an owner experiences; especially since I already signed the contract that I financially agreed to. 2. I encountered a lot of life changes that disrupted my ability to move forward with a wedding that my brothers were supposed to be in. For instance, I had a depressed, suicidal brother, I had another brother leave for Japan for the Marines, and I had an uncle pass away. All vendors except for Heather were so kind to fully refund my deposits due to the situation. Unfortunately, Heather responded that she was still a businesswoman and was financially hurting, so she was in no place to offer a full refund. I basically paid Heather almost $500 to establish a simple contract. I already had all the vendors in place and organized, so this deposit was for nothing. Heather should not be held responsible for unexpected circumstances, but this wedding meant a lot to me. As a business owner, you should be able to compromise with your clients based on their situation. I could have easily used that deposit to help my family for the funeral. I find this situation absurd because I never wanted a wedding planner to begin with. Our wedding list was only 32 guests, but my fiancé insisted that we hire a planner because he did not want me to stress out. I admire him for caring, but this wedding was going to be a private and intimate event with very little management. I blame myself for hiring a wedding planner when I did not need one. It is unfortunate that Heather was thinking like a businesswoman and not a human being with empathy. Nonetheless, please make sure to ask about the refund policy for emergencies such as death, health, etc. Two stars are for her communication, but I can only evaluate Heather based on my experience with her before the wedding date. Therefore, I am unable to provide feedback for her day service since my wedding never happened. Has it ever occurred to you, Heather, that you had not heard from me in a year because I was busy dealing with other important things like planning a funeral? My wedding was the last thing on my mind. Also, I was not complaining about the charge that never happened, I am complaining about your response to your changes. There was no need to comment on that you are more expensive and won't be charging me. We could have proceeded forward with whatever it was we were doing. You contacted ONE venue and that is because they had YOU sign a contract with them. FYI, my pre-engagement photos were scheduled with the photographer I hired for my wedding and I was still refunded the full amount. This vendor did not work for free either and still managed to prioritize customer service over money. You are a business owner and have the liberty to do as you please, but you must have needed the money more than I did, so I hope my contributions helped your business. Nonetheless, well done on your communication. If you have a family member with a life-threatening illness or you have a medical condition that may require potential hospitalization, please do not hire Heather as your wedding planner as she will not refund you the deposit because not make exceptions for your situation simply because she does not "work for free." Her and her assistant, Courtney, handled E V E R Y T H I N G on the day of our wedding at the Estate on Second and then some. If there was any sort of problem, she had the solution. If we needed a drink, she was there with mine and my husband's signature cocktails. If I was losing track of time, she made sure to gently push me along. They were on top of all of our vendors and explaining the wedding decor set up was easy and pain free so that by the time we were walking down the aisle, we were able to focus on each other and the fun and memorable parts of the wedding day. Additionally, Liz and team were cordial and accommodating to all of the other vendors and made sure to keep us aware of only information we needed to know. Our catering company was late and Liz was on top of it immediately, problem solving with our bartending vendor to make sure service was on point. Also, our chair and furniture rental vendor was late for pickup, and WINK! made sure to stay on top of them so that we didn't end up getting charged for overtime at the venue (which had a strict load out policy). The rentals vendor nearly cost us extra, but with Liz's excellent communication and patience, Wink was able to get the rentals ina and out on time, while also appeasing the venue in a diplomatic manner. Overall, the process and day-of with Liz was fun and filled with joy! WINK! is a dream to work with and we quite literally could not have accomplished all that we did without them. If only we could throw another wedding for ourselves, we would choose WINK! again and again! Cannot recommend enough!
