I took my car to my usual mechanic and they repaired what they thought was the problem, however, it did not repair the problem. I brought it back and they tried something else, but the warning lights persisted. I then thought a fresh set of eyes might solve the problem, so I brought my car to a garage near my office and they tried their fix, but it did not work. I was told that if their first fix did not work, the problem may need a costly repair. I was talking to a neighbor and relay my concerns about whether anyone could fix the problem and he suggested Ted's Tranmissions and General Repair I dropped my car off and within an hour they diagnosised the problem. They recommended I bring it to Sullivan Tire for an alignment. None of the other shops had suggested an alignment, so I figured at this point what did I have to lose. I got the alignment and I am now light free! I would recommend Ted's to anyone who is having getting answers for a problem with their car. They are wonder diagnosticians and I am sure they would be great at repairs, it they could have repaired my car.

At that point I could choose to have it fixed or call someone to tow it away. I was expecting a failed transmission and a bill running into the $1000s. On the NEXT DAY they surprised me and called to say they looked at the car and it was not a failed transmission (which I thought it was) but a broken front axle. $565... did I want it repaired? (yes). It was fixed before noon on Thursday. It is very rare to get a company to do the right thing every step of the way. These guys did it even quicker than initially quoted. I am not easily impressed and these guys impressed me a lot.

After an unpleasant dialog over the phone , he told me that if I didn't get my car off his lot immediately that he would charge me storage fees. I walked to the business and waited around for him to return and collected my keys. He didn't even have the courtesy to apologize nor care. If I could rate my encounter a zero I would have. Paid my dues went on with my day, no problem Flash forward needing a new oil change, I go to a different shop, closer to home and he pops up from under my car and tells me to not go back to where I went (which is Norwood Auto) because the filter (the dirty one) was not for my car, that it was the correct size but not for my car, meaning it fit, it just shouldn't have been in my car.) THE CLEAN ONE, is supposed to be in MY car. I'm confused and disheartened that a 15/20min job took all day to be seen, with an incorrect part used and overall was rushed with lack of communication? Sure money is money but make sure to LOVE your job before committing to it.
