I asked the stylist what kind of hair to get, and was told not to worry because they sold the hair in their shop. Unfortunately, the result left much to be desired, and my family member returned home in tears. The work that was advertised online did not correspond to the service received. As you can see in the 2nd picture, the finished product is bulky and the colour of the threads near the roots doesn't match the colour of the extensions. I was also told by my family members who were present that the stylist seemed tired, easily distracted, and proceeded to touch her hair without washing her hands after eating pizza (just wiped her fingers on a towel). When I reached out to the stylist afterwards, I was told that she didn't sell the hair, never promised to sell those same locs, and is not responsible for the dissatisfied service. She did not offer to rectify the situation in any way, and left the chat. I cannot speak to the quality of the other services provided at this salon, but I would not recommend this salon for faux locs. It was unprofessional, sub-par quality, there was no accountability. My family member didn't even want to go to school the next day for fear of being ridiculed. That's $220 down the drain.

I was hesitant to try somewhere new after having gone to the same place for years, but came initially as part of a girl date with one of my friends. The salon is very bright and clean. I love pink, so they earn brownie points with me for the rose gold, white, and pink decor. Their staff is really personable and friendly. It's really my favourite part of the experience! Bella was amazing and really listened and "gets" what I'm asking for. I'm picky and indecisive, so that really says a lot and is important to me when it comes to nails or any beautification. I also really love that they have so many colour options and offer cool ideas that I wouldn't necessarily think of on my own. After my initial visit, I learned chrome doesn't work well for me- I think my nails are maybe too oily or my cuticles just didn't like it. Bella went above and beyond to find a solution, and really cared about me being happy with her work. I can't even say how valuable that is in this kind of industry- as a consumer it's certainly rare to find people who take so much pride in their work. It's a nice central location, in Sparks street. For convenience I just parked at the World Exchange Plaza (free on weekends!) but there is also street parking available if you know where to look. I would totally recommend this spot to a friend, I'm considering coming back to try the lash extensions or microblading, I love that it's all in one spot!

The shop is bright and clean, though it does smell like embalming fluid due to it being right next to a funeral home where they do embalmings. Nothing they can do about that... Keri did my piercing and she was so kind and professional. She really knows her stuff...Even though I have had my nostril pierced before, Keri still took the time to talk about aftercare. Keri walked me through everything ahead of time, answered any questions that I had about jewelry options and price. During the procedure Keri was attentive and asked me how I was doing. Of course it hurt, like any piercing does, but her bedside manner was awesome! I will be returning to Vanity in the future, once my piercing heals to have her pierce another nose ring beside the one I just got done today. Vanity also has a large collection of barbells, so I am looking forward to also changing my Industrial piercing with a barbell that is a little bit more aesthetically pleasing.

You can tell she really loves and cares about what she is doing, and it made me feel comfortable at ease knowing that I was in good hands. I'm so happy with my septum and it seems to be healing well. The next best thing about this place (besides their piercers and jewellery selection) is that they provide or offer follow up check ups to see how you well your piercing is healing. I would 100% recommend booking an appointment with this place, you will not be disappointed!
