I did not feel rushed, everything was explained to me fully and I was given options for what I was hoping to achieve. I received both filler and dysport injections without any numbing creams and it was totally not painful. The nurse was very gentle and made me feel comfortable the whole time. I cannot stress how lovely everyone was! My second time around I wanted to go back on short notice but the nurse is there every two weeks (only downside) and I was in a rush so I booked elsewhere - big mistake! I went to another medical spa and they totally ruined my under eye, ended up with bubbling and a tyndall effect which they refused to correct. My 3rd cosmetic experience I went back to Goldberg and I am still kicking myself for going elsewhere to begin with. Under normal circumstance no one would do the correction (I had called several places) but the staff at Goldberg are so kind they helped me to fix my issue and then some. I cannot thank Christina and Iryna enough for being so kind. I've learned my lesson and would never go anywhere else. Note to anyone looking to do cosmetic procedures: do your research this is your face, go to somewhere reputable and operated by a medical doctor - TRUST me! I know my review probably seems too good to be true but it is not. I am forever grateful for them going above and beyond in making me feel beautiful and confident again. I recommend Goldberg with absolutely NO hesitation. Yes on the downside the nurse is only there very other Thursday but be patient it is totally worth it!! -JG

The effectiveness of laser hair removal is dependent on your hair follicles. It is effective on…read moresome people, and not on others. Be aware that laser hair removal at ANY place is not guaranteed to be effective. I got a few of large body parts done here for laser hair removal. I was able to see the difference immediately after the first session. After spending over $1,000 a lot of the hair grows back just as thick as it did before and in some places not so much. As for the service: When I come here I feel like I'm getting quality service with integrity, and Hoda is super gentle. Just to give you a heads up this service is set in an unrelated business office. Hoda has two rooms rented out here for her various services. Dont expect a spa setting. However, your skin or hair follicles dont know the difference (about the setting), so it doesnt matter. I would also recommend booking 1 or 2 sessions ahead if possible. I recommend this place.

Experience: As a new client of Karisma, I was very impressed with the service that Hoda provided to me. I went in for my first session for laser hair removal on Feb. 14th. I initially was only going in to get my underarms, but thanks to Hoda, I ended up doing all three small areas. The procedure only took 30 min. and that is for three areas. Hoda started with the paper work or admin. stuff and walked me through how we would proceed and she also took the time to explain her machines. Her newest machine is impeccable. It's performance is amazing, I barely felt anything except for a warm glaze of heat. We started my first session at a higher setting and my skin was fine, where we didn't see any inflammation or red skin. Hoda was very pleasant to work with; she approached my appointment in a professional and friendly manner. She offers many other services, in which I cannot wait to try, like photofacials. As a side note, just in case you forgot to shave a certain area or two, Hoda does offer to shave off the hair on those areas to treat. Razors are clean and disposable. Price: The cost of her services are manageable and much more affordable than other like competitors that offer similar services, such as laser hair removal. Aside from Groupon, she openly offers the same promotion in her clinic. I have three small areas to be treated by Hoda. During your appointment, you can either bring a print version of your groupon or present it from your phone, where she can scan the barcode. Please keep in mind that you have to pay for taxes during your visit. Don't forget to tip!* Location: Karisma MediSpa is located near McCowan/Ellesmere; minutes away from Scarborough Town Centre and the McCowan RT station. During weekends, there are certain procedures to enter the building, and that information can be obtained from Hoda. It's very easy finding the building; it is on the North side of St. Louis Bar and Grill. The clinic is located on the 7th floor. If you are taking the TTC; you can either exit from the mall from the Cineplex side and walk past the YMCA (3min) or exit from the McCowan RT station (3-4min). Verdict: Whether it's your first time getting laser hair removal or you're an avid experienced user, I highly recommend going to Hoda at Karisma. She's very gentle, knowledgeable, and friendly. Her machine is so impressive and you can barely feel anything, well at least for me. I cannot wait to go back for my next few sessions and see more results!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER…read more I went to my first appointment booked for 5:30pm. Since it was the first one, I thought that probably I would have to fill in some forms and I decided to arrive earlier at 5:15pm. When I arrived, the office was closed with a post-it on the door mentioning "I will come back at 5:45pm". I thought it was weird if my appointment was at 5:30pm but I decided to wait. The office is at the second floor on a building with no AC at the hallways and I did have a face mask so it was very annoying due to the hot. Then, at 5:40pm another client came and told me she did have an appointment at 5:45pm. So, when I explained to her than I had been waiting for a while she called the owner and she told her we were both there. This customer told me that she preferred calling her because the first time she went there the same thing happened to her and the owner had completely forgotten about her appointment as well. When the owner came back, she didn't even bother to apologize and she just asked the other lady to go inside instead of me who at that point had been waiting for more than 30 minutes! When I asked her about my appointment, she just told me what I was explaining was "impossible" because she did book my appointment for 6pm and that she went out at 5:30pm (seriously?! When she had done the same to the same other client on her first appointment as well? And when I had been there since 5:15pm?). In few words, after all the wait she just implied I was lying about the time of my appointment, as well as all the time I had been waiting there and she didn't even apologize. Just told me that because I did have to fill in some forms (almost at 6pm), the other customer was going first. I was VERY frustrated so I decided to find another place to go. Just a very AWFUL way to treat a customer on the first appointment!!

I paid almost $1,600 for Dermamelan treatment on my back, chest, and stomach. I had no allergic reaction during the in‑clinic portion and confirmed my at‑home instructions carefully. A week later, my skin became painful, raw, and the top layer was visibly peeling. I sent photos to the clinic and was told this was "normal" and to continue my post care. It wasn't. My skin barrier was broken, and following their advice meant applying an acid product to open wounds. Within two days, I developed severe chemical burns across my back, chest, and neck. My skin is now scarred and significantly worse than before I ever contacted Bellair. It didn't end there. My in‑person assessment with Dr. Pugen was switched to virtual while I was already on my way, making it useless. As I cried through the appointment, he suggested laser treatment even though both my dermatologist and Bellair's own coordinator said it would be high‑risk for my skin type. Two follow‑up calls were scheduled; nobody called me either time and I had to call the clinic to make the appointments happen. The clinic also took very personal "before" photos of my bare chest and back, then later claimed they COULDN'T FIND THEM and they were never uploaded due to "wifi issues." They use iPads with internal storage, so this makes no sense. The violation of patient privacy is truly baffling. When I requested a refund from the director, Oscar Amar, he dragged it out for 19 days, insisted they "did nothing wrong," and eventually offered a partial refund of no specified amount. After everything, it was like a slap in the face. What happened to me here was NOT OKAY. Period. It was dangerous, negligent, and deeply unethical. Proceed with extreme caution.
