He ordered a new part and returned a couple a days later with the new drain pump. He was polite, professional and friendly. Interestingly, after he left the washer was still not working properly. He returned immediately and addressed a minor problem and the washer worked. Nico even followed up later that afternoon to double check the washer was working properly. The repair was moderately priced and I will call again to have my dryer vacuumed and cleaned.

He came to my tenant's condo in Gardena and stated my almost brand new dishwasher will cost $350 parts & labor to replace the drain pump parts and labor after a 5 minute evaluation. (They did not know the dishwasher was almost brand new) They called to get my authorization to pay, and I declined to have the work done. They stated I need to pay the $69 visit fee only. Later I get a call from Kate, the dispatcher, stating I now need to pay $199 for cleaning fee. However, I stated I never authorized any additional services. They fixed the problem within 15 minutes for the total visit. There were small pieces of plastic there that needed to be cleaned out and the dishwasher is working fine. I guess I didn't need the drain pump to be replaced for $350 after all. When I called to complain, they agreed to take the additional cleaning fee and charge the visit fee only. They subsequently called to apologize and waive my visit fee of $69.

His schedule is busy, especially in the summer time, but he came and did the job. He mostly works on appliances such as stoves, washers, dryers and refrigerators but a mobile AC unit like Toshiba is similar to a refrigerator cooling system so he was able to do this work as well. He took the unit apart and checked everything and showed me everything. One of my hoses was slit at the base causing water to leak so he cut it and reattached it. It needed to be drained which was easy as well. Thankfully no mold build up etc. I've had these since 2020 and used them intermittently so the mileage on them was low and maintenance was minimal despite NOT having maintained these annually. He showed me how to remove the water and was in and out in an hour after thoroughly checking the unit. Not cheap but similar to annual heating function testing etc. He was on time, efficient, effective, taught me something and operated with integrity. I normally would vet a few options and choose one but since he came recommended by Toshiba I went with him and glad I did. Highly recommend him for mobile AC unit maintenance. Can't speak on all else but I did ask how long he's been in the game and he said 14 yrs so to me that's good enough practice to be a pro. Thank you Donavan! But read on: So Manny replaced a drain pump for our LG washer. It worked. Paid him in full and he even gave us a Yelp "discount". A few days after, it started making noises .. I called him, he showed up and he said not to worry, the noise is normal. Then he even said he will extend the warranty to 12 months. Covid started. We lived with it until it failed after 1.5 years. Called him he didn't answer. I texted him, he pretended not to know about it. Then he remembered after I sent him screenshots of our txt exchange. Then he ghosted me. I txt him again. Now he wants $375 (again) to replace the same part that originally lasted 10 years. $89 for diagnostic. The part he provided lasted 1.5 years... So in 1.5 years I would have paid him for a brand new washer. Long story short: If you want disposable parts (I am guessing either after market or used) go ahead and call Manny B. Otherwise stay away. Also not to mention the part from his truck is $125 while it is $40 from the LG Store on Amazon - not after market not Chinese as he said. Go figure.
