Don' bother with this bank unless you feel compelled to let your banking institution know you are…read morestill alive every 6 months! Yes, that's right. This bank sends you a letter that you must sign every six months unless they see activity in your account. If you don't acknowledge the letter, this bank will begin taking fees from your account until you do or by law they must turn your holdings over to the state. This gives them about two years to pick your account clean like a buzzard, under the guise of "fees". There is no end to the audacity of bankers these days. Yes, a lot of banks do this, but every 6 months?!!! There are very few people or institutions that require us to check in with them every six months. I was dressed for work, so I don't think I looked bad or anything. The impression I got was that nobody wanted to be bothered with it. I was going to walk out, but I stayed because my old bank was starting to charge fees for things that used to be free and, after all, I had gotten some good recommendations. At any rate, the lady helped me open my account and was very pleasant about it. The woman who was on lunch came out of her office and went around me a couple of times doing things at the info desk and didn't even acknowledge my presence. I definitely won't be talking to her about anything. Now that I've been a customer for a month or so, I feel better about things and the staff has been more pleasant. I think it'll be OK.
