They have an amazing selection of beads but, unfortunately, that's where the happiness ends. Like all businesses, they're there to make a profit, which is to be understood but their prices are outrageous and just about everything is an add on. Also remember that stealing is bad karma and in case you'd forgotten, there are a bunch of signs reminding you. If your chakra is somehow screwed up, you can take a wildly expensive sound or color therapy session or whatever other snake oil they're peddling that day that's guaranteed to lower your financial state and vastly improve theirs. I don't normally slay small local businesses but the fake love and peace pretense is annoying and misleading at best. If you want to do something holistic, take yoga, hit up a Pilates class, eat some acai or do whatever. Just don't waste your hard earned money on wildly expensive baubles or BS classes designed to make you part with you money and not your negative energy. read more

I have been visiting this store for years and can easily say it is an amazing experience every time! The owner and staff are extremely kind and fun to work with. They are very helpful in teaching how to create your own jewelry, from beginners to experts. Now though, after they expanded into their own two floor building, what I find most special are the numerous classes, sound therapy, color therapy, etc. The owner is so passionate to help others learn and grown. She made many snide comments and and treated me and my daughter with disrespect and acted as if we were bothering her when asking about prices that kept seeming to jump drastically. Yes it is expensive, but it feels like a magical cave full of treasures! Beads vary on price, some are less money so just pay attention to the individual prices. Yesterday was my first time at Bazaar Star Beadery, and it was a wonderful and fun experience!! I've never seen so many beautiful beads before and very unique!! Jolene the owner is a sweetheart and guides you along in making your necklace, bracelet, etc! The atmosphere was very relaxing! I remember when this bead shop first opened, it was truly a great place filled in every corner with thousands of standard and unique products. While the former still stands...two things I experienced on a recent visit were extremely disappointing. The shop has small hand-written notes ALL OVER stating "Stealing is bad Karma" with one or two "We are watching you" slipped in. Either rely on good security cameras to do the job or not. But the notes have got to be minimized. Second, the owners option to employ little girls with minimal client service training can only hurt business. I went there looking for a single unique piece for my project. I was approached 4 times by sales help: 1. "Take a tray for your shopping" (My response was to thank them, let them know I had been coming here for years and was only looking for one item) 2."You need to put your beads in a tray" (I had no beads in my hands and I explained I knew how it work) 3. "can I help you find something? "You might want to take a tray" 4. "if you plan to buy ANYTHING you're going to have to put it in a tray" At which point I left. I am in my 40's I had only my car keys and a slim wallet - no pockets with which to steal ANYTHING. Next time I will travel further to shop. They have a some nice stuff but exploring the shop for the perfect piece or inspiration is no longer a service they offer. =( read more

Today was my third and probably last time coming here. Don't be fooled by the Buddha's and crystals in this shop, the owner is far from Zen and after your money. What a great place! My only complaint is I wish I knew about it sooner! The owner is so friendly and down to earth. Two of my girlfriends and I went here to make ourselves a necklace. The stones I picked out were expensive but the prices are shown - it is very easy to spend a lot there - there are so many cool options to choose from! I really enjoyed being creative and making a piece of jewelry that I picked out and made. I get so many compliments from it! She does have reasonably priced kits as well if you are on a budget. I plan on bringing my daughter there when she gets a bit older so we can do this together! Definitely worth checking out! read more

Then when you get to the register to checkout you spent three times what you thought you were and its too late to go back. Manager needs better customer service skills. I had a very bad experience here this morning. The website says the store is open at 11:00. I arrived at 11:10, as did another woman. The store was not open. The other woman calls the number on the door and then says to me, "She will be here in 12 minutes.", meaning 11:22. At 11:39 the owner is still not there. I call and she says, "5 minutes." She finally arrives at 11:55, does not apologize and lets me in. I'm browsing around and I hear the owner complaining to another customer about someone calling and making her come in before she wanted to. I went up to her and told her she was rude, she kept me waiting an hour, did not apologize and now she was talking about me to another customer. She said, "You are treating me like a slave! I am not your slave! Get out of my store!" Now maybe this woman fancies herself a free spirit but she is also a business owner who posts hours on her website. If she doesn't want to keep those hours then all sales should be by appointment only. So customer service was less than nil. On the contents of her store, it's just OK and not worth the effort it took to get there. She has a little bit of everything but her beads are more expensive than what I pay online (Fire Mountain Gems). I guess her thing is classes but honestly I wouldn't enjoy a class with this woman. read more

This store is an absolute blessing to have around. The owner, Jolene, is very friendly and always happy talk about pretty much ANYTHING. She also holds sound therapy and color therapy in the upstairs part of the store known as The Enchanted Heart. This place has been around for years and we love it! I take my daughter's here when we have a free day so that we can bead together. We have used them for birthday parties-the first was around 15 years ago-and have never been disappointed. My youngest daughter loves the summer camp they have. We are greeted when we walk in-it's nice that they remember our faces. This is a great place to spend some quality time with your kids or friends. I love, love, love this place. It is high on the list of one of my "happy places". All of the employees are friendly, helpful, and full of inspiration. The owner, Jolene, is one of the coolest people you will ever meet. It is so impressive how she has turned her passion into a thriving business. She radiates all positive vibes and her store is a great place to spend an afternoon beading or learn some new beading skills. The new location (behind the former location) is bright, beautiful, and perfectly organized. I came in on a whim one day, learned to make a bracelet, and couldn't stay away. Ever since, I have taken lessons and purchased tons of high quality beads and supplies here. I have also gotten tons of expert beading advice. I have been there shopping during Bead Camp and seen the adorable projects they do with children.
