I have gotten extremely excellent care from Dr. Casillian and PT Jesse. They really listen and will try to an answer for me. And I am a difficult case with multiple problems. When I am having an issue that needs to be resolved right away. A call to the office staff and they manage to get me in to see one of the doctors or PT within a day. I went in as a patient coming back as a new patient today and did all my paperwork to front desk was pleasant the nose was training a new nurse took me back and took my vitals I sat a few minutes and waited for the doctor I won't say her name but she came in with an attitude and she said if I'm taking a narcotics medicine she does not believe in that and I need to basically go schedule my appointment with somebody else I could have stayed with her but she had an attitude It was very confusing and upsetting today somebody did call back in the afternoon to try to get me to come back to see someone else I don't think that's a good idea I think her attitude she came in like she had a bed morning and she took it out on me The medicine I was taking is an anxiety pill I don't consider that an narcotic. read more

Worst office staff service ever at the 2075 Glenn Mitchell Dr Suite 300 Virginia Beach, VA 23456 office. Her answer to our concerns : "it's not our problem call your PCM!" So far we have had pleasant experience with the Dr's the two times we have seen them. but the office staff are RUDE and speak to patients as if they are a burden. My husband had a stent put in and we had concerns with symptoms that came up after the procedure. We called the office staff twice to request information, help, possibly get a message to a nurse or Dr to see if the symptoms would be a larger a concern. We had to wait over 4 weeks to get an appointment and were told to go to the ER if symptoms continued (which we did) but that appointment at the ER was useless. So we called the office staff back. We expressed the concerns and symptoms that were happening and how it was causing my husband severe anxiety and inability to sleep for over 3 days after we called the nurse advice line from our PCM to get advice. At her recommendation we called the Cardio Dr office as she stated You do not want a person with heart problems having that level of stress and anxiety, especially considering the symptoms he was having. You know what the office staff member did to us: "it is not our problem or concern for his anxiety, call him PCM!" And she said it with rude attitude. So we hung up and called another office and were able to get an appointment. The staff at that VA beach location were just horrible. It is a shame how Dr's office can get away with treating patients like this anymore. read more

I'm writing not only about all of the Bayview group hospitalists but definitely regarding Doctor Lisa Huang. She saw my husband the first day he was admitted to Chesapeake Regional Hospital and without any biopsy done told him from his films he had a very aggressive cancer. First he had a panic attack because of how she told him this and without any proof. He was 73 years old and after her little visit he stopped eating and drinking and taking his regular meds. He went down hill from there and when he died they still didn't have the biopsy results. The way I was notified of his death was by a call from the Lions eye bank. Dr. Holiday told his supervisor that he tried to call me twice and one of his nurses tried once. I received one call on my cell and before I could get it they hung up. No message for me to call back. So I sat by my phone waiting for someone to call back because that call was from the main number so I couldn't call back. After about an hour my phone did ring and it was the eye bank. My husband died on a Friday and I tried all weekend to get someone to give me information so I could get the funeral home to pick him up. No one called so he laid in the morgue until Monday afternoon. So not only does Chesapeake Regional Hospital not care about your loved ones Bayview group hospitalists don't either. read more

Dr. To literally walked out on me TWICE and refused help when I came in to see him. I went to see Dr. To who is my primary care physician this past week and literally had the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. He not only asked me questions he should of already known from my chart but he told me "you will get used to starving" when I mentioned the only way I was able to lose any weight was to practically starve myself. I have been seeing Dr. To for over two years now for a disease that he determined and on each visit he rushes in and out without really listening to my concerns. This time he not only rushed me, belittled me, ignored my concerns but he also continued to tell me there is nothing he could help me with. Even though he is the doctor who put me on my medication. After a very rushed overview of why I came in and him continually telling me "I can't help you" and "you have to see a specialist" (which I did at his request the last time but that doctor disappeared) without addressing any of my concerns that I was actually telling him about. He then got up and left without saying a word. I had thought he left to grab me the names of people he recommended me to see. A nurse came in to get me back to get my blood work done which "I" requested for prior to the visit not him. I asked where Dr. To had gone because he just got up and left. When he came back into the room he angrily says "I thought we were done here" when I told him he didn't help me with any of my concerns he threw up his hands and said "I'm not dealing with this!" And walked out on me again. I'd like to stress that the whole time I was very calm, never acted out. He got mad because I was asking for help and I questioned why he was refusing to help me. It wasn't until he walked out on me the second time that I asked for management and became upset about the whole ordeal. The office Coordinator, Brie Scott came in and asked about the situation. She was kind in how she went about the situation but nothing was done. I was told to make a complaint and send it in but I received no apology by how I was treated. I have been compliant with the directions Dr. To gave me. I went to see specialist he requested but when I talked about my concerns and he didn't want to help me anymore I was treated like literal garbage. I refuse to go back but I'm just another number on their check so they're not worried about that. I hope to save someone else the heartache. Find another physician group. read more

Thought I'd update my review as, either it's been taken down (don't put it past Bayview to pay for reviews to be removed, if possible) or its ran its course. 'Dr." Mason is now retired, which is a relief. I treated with her for Type 1 diabetes and Hashimoto's Disease. I began having a Hashimoto's flare and advised Mason of my symptoms. Am I a doctor...no but, been a T1D for over 30 years and Hashimoto's for over 20 years. I know my body, know when things aren't right and look into what could be wrong with me. Can't afford not to. My appt. with Mason involved my advising of my symptoms and was told by Mason "You have a heart and lung condition". I asked about other symptoms I was experiencing and advised, I didn't belive those symptoms were related to the alleged heart/lung condition. Mason stood up and told me "Go to your PCP and tell THEM your problems" and she walked out of the room. I immediately found myself a reputable endocrinologist who ran blood work, changed/adjusted my meds and I eventually resolved my symptoms. I treated with Moron...sorry...Mason for several years. She never ONCE ordered any blood work for me. She simply looked at bloodwork from my PCP which included only a couple values for my auto-immune diseases yet, she took a stab in the dark, picked a diagnosis out of a hat and walked away. Had I followed her half-assed diagnosis, I'd probably be dead. The Bayview office staff (management) had their heads just as far up their ass as their incompetent doctor wannabee. Other patients on here were told to "go tell their problems to someone else" as well. Coincidence? Doubt it... Clearly, this isn't a "one-off". I reported Bayview to the Medical board and suggest you do the same when these idiots play Russian roulette with your health. They could care less about you. Hold them to their obligation of treating you properly and with a bit of dignity/respect. These half-wits should be digging ditches somewhere...Maybe a cemetery. This practice is totally inept at something so VERY NECESSARY....I need pain management for PAIN MANAGEMENT...my provider does referrals to offices that are inappropriate for my needs. SPECIFICALLY was referred to Dr Henik for PAIN MANAGEMENT. He only does injections...he does not do "medication management. I started following up on this issue at 8am.....at 4pm I got the Henik doesn't do that message......wishing I was dead. On mental health side, after several non effective referrals, over several months, I found Psy care on my own.. read more

Hi All! So, since March I have been trying to get a bill straight with Bayview. I have contacted my local office (Roosevelt Family), billing, emailed with billing disputes, and even mailed in a letter. To all of this, I do not even get a response from the corporate level. My office said they've even called in about it, no response. I really like my PA Rebecca Parker, but at this point I think it's time to find a new family practice. I went there to get a check up, and get my DME medical supplies renewed, and trying to get personal care. The staff at the front desk there can really be hard to get along with just for the doctor to lose a relationship with you. These people need to learn Compassion 101 and stop throwing their patients out the door, leaving them outside looking in trying to find another PCP to work with. I mean seriously, this discharging activity needs to stop and be outlawed. Nurses and doctors are supposed to save lives and take care of a person who are in need, not just refuse to help them. I mean it's like they are pulling the plug on the patients life support. Also yes, the co insurance, question is, Do these people think that money always grew on trees in the woods somewhere that we can just pick it right off the tree branch? I wish that this company would be looked into and find out why it's easy for these front desk workers without earning a college degree? If that's easy then any one who just graduated out of high school get an easy job to make easy money working at the front desk answering patients questions over the phone like they have been to college giving out false information to the patient, and never get a chance to speak directly to the doctor. This review isn't in relation to the doctors more than billing. They are EXTREMELY unprofessional and caused my credit to get hit with a derogatory mark and caused me to be responsible for a bill that insurance should have covered. I was in the hospital at the beginning of 2017. I obviously received many bills from doctors related to my stay. Most of these bills were handled by my insurance. However, Bayview decides that even though the doctor saw me in the hospital and they charged me for "hospital discharge" fees from that same hospital that they "didn't have insurance info". This is a lie. The hospital was Sentara and I have Optima insurance. I KNOW that they notify other doctors of my insurance. ESPECIALLY before another doctor would agree to see you. I was asked by MULTIPLE doctors before they would even see me in the hospital if I had insurance and when I told them I had Optima they told me if would be no issue. Long story short I get a letter from a creditor saying that Bayview has sent my bill to collections. I had no clue that I had one because Bayview made no attempt to contact me. They made no attempt to send the bill to my insurance. So they hit my credit with a $800+ charge that should have just been paid by insurance. And now since a year has passed there is nothing I can do. Everyone who has had any dealing with Bayview should check to make sure they have no outstanding bills. They lie about not having insurance info and you get stuck with their full bill instead of the negotiated amount from insurance. read more

I am beyond disappointed with the Bayview Physicians group. I scheduled an annual check-up in 2022, and I am still getting bills almost a year later when this should have been 100% covered by my insurance. It turns out that when I scheduled my annual check-up, the provider, Haley Swanson, or the management team instructed their staff to file the claim as an "establishing care visit," and no one explained that to me. They told me to return to go over the labs, which were 100% perfect, and I thought that was part of my annual check-up (again, which should have been ONE visit and 100% covered by any insurance). My insurance got two claims from Bayview Physicians/ Haley Swanson, one consultation to establish care - which I was never informed about, and the annual check-up, which I requested in the first place. So now I must deal with extra costs because they omitted information and because of their bad practice. I called and complained several times, and nothing was resolved. The staff has been nothing but rude and unhelpful. No one has ever taken the time to investigate the improper claim and resolve the situation. This facility is undoubtedly worried about making money and taking advantage of patients. Otherwise, they would have taken the time to listen to my concerns and admit that an annual check-up does not require a claim to establish care. If that is their standard practice, they must explain that to their new patients before charging for extra consultations. Please do not waste your time, energy, and money. Companies with such conduct and lacking customer care should stay out of business. After my public reviews, they sent me a certified letter announcing that they would no longer provide me with care. Their retaliation does not affect me. On the other hand, their 15 YELP reviews and 1.5 stars speak volumes about this practice. This is an excellent example of bad practice. read more

This is an absolute garbage "healthcare" company. Their bottom line is revenue not taking care of patients. Or employees. I've tried them a few times. ENT, Podiatry, Urgent care, and sleep. Same thing. Shame on me. It's months out to get an appointment. Then reschedule that appointment over and over. Or put you with (a cute but oh so stupid PA) who pushes things she knows nothing of. The doctors seldom have the same nurse. (HIGH turnover!!!!) They take on patients who's insurance they dont accept, don't bother to tell you, and stick you with a huge bill. Apparently a lack of knowledge (or care) on part of the desk worker scheduling the appointment. Talking to billing is abysmal. Talking to the desk is abysmal. Talking to the manager(s) is abysmal. Most recently, I went for insomnia. Ended up with over $1200 in bills, no diagnosis, and was pushed into scheduling with someone for some bayview weight loss thing because I could be "cured" if I lost some weight. I bailed at that point. She did try to overstep my (Sentara) PCP and order unnecessary labs and change my usual meds. I declined, of course. I also declined the weight loss mumbo-jumbo... I'm not obese. Angling for an bligatory referral to another bayview provider I'm figuring. Will. Not. See. A. Bayview. Provider. Ever. Again. Lesson learned. read more

Absolutely worst billing service EVER!!! After a clerical error (completely on their part) sent my bill to the wrong address for over a year, they called my 13 year old son and threatened him with sending the bill to collections. When I explained the error (and asked why it took them a year to call us), they challenged me and argued with me. When I offered to pay the bill over phone immediately, they continued to imply that my bill would be sent to collections. I am shocked that this is what happens with medical billing and I would NEVER use this provider again!!! read more

I called 15 minutes early to let them know I was running late because I went to the wrong doctors office. At the time of my appointment (I would've been on time) my GPS took me to First Colonial Family Practice and Urgent Care. I called the office again to let them know and the clerk advised me they were on the second floor. I went to the second floor and the office was nowhere to be found. I left that building and googled a picture of the building which is how I located it. I showed up ten minutes late because of all of this. The clerk checked me in, all was well. I sat in the waiting room just for them to refuse me service because I was late. I called multiple times and they had me sit and wait. I wouldn't be surprised if she tries to bill me. I have been complaining for over a decade about your company's inability to reflect accurate and COMPLETE information on billing statements. Each time I get a billing statement from you I have to call your office to ask the same questions over and over. Why? Because you can't make one fundamental change to your billing statement that provides your customer with a complete understanding of what insurance companies you have billed, when you billed them, and the status of the billing action. DESPITE past assurances that this would be fixed, it obviously has not! Therefore, I will begin posting negative reviews to highlight your inaction and non-support. read more

I wish I could rate 0 stars for this provider. I went to Bayview for a simple strep test. Turns out the nurse didn't scan my insurance card. Then it turns out she mailed the bill to the wrong address. The time it took to figure all of this out exceded their "time limit" so now it is my responsibility to pay the $200 bill which, as a broke college student is my favorite thing to do! They keep telling me it's the "patients responsibility". So just a heads up I would NOT advise anyone to take the risk at going to Bayview. read more

The worse customer service EVER. I sat on hold for 15 minutes. I was asked to be placed on hold then just placed, I couldn't even say no. During that 15 minutes they picked up twice then put me right back on hold, just to get their line from beeping at them. Then I was hung up on. It take nurses forever to call back and when they do they act like you are bothering them. I love the Dr, but supporting staff is a joke. And I see I am not the only one with this issue.
