I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hanne, the lovely woman who owns and operates Marin…read moreGreen Cab, and how helpful she was in dealing with an unusual situation. It was 7 PM on a Saturday evening, and my dear friend of many years had been rushed from the nursing facility where she lives to the hospital, both in San Rafael, and had left behind some critically important items, including her phone and her glasses. Since I live in Los Angeles, I needed to find a local service that would go to the nursing facility, pick up the items, and take them the short distance to the hospital. I had no luck with the numerous courier services I tried, but I hit the jackpot when I called Marin Green Cab. Hanne answered the phone, quickly calmed my jangled nerves, and walked me through every step of how she could get this done Sunday morning. It was not an easy task to organize, because it was very difficult to reach anyone at the nursing facility, but she took everything in stride. The next morning, Sunday, Hanne herself picked up the items, drove to the hospital, and even went to my friend's room to give them to her! My friend and I are both so grateful to Hanne for going the extra mile, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I hadn't used (or needed) a ride in over five years, and didn't know whether to chose a Taxi or Uber. I had heard some scary stories Uber: people pretending to be Uber drivers, the fact that they aren't screeed, anyone can show up...and they don't require or likely have insurance, especially enough to cover catastrophic injuries (God forbid) or serious damages. What makes I.M. Taxi so great? 1. They are locally owned and operated. 2. They've been in business for more than twenty-six years. 3. They are fully insured. (Talking a million) 4. They knew the address and came exactly on time. 5. The car was very nice: not a scratch/dent/rip...100%clean. 6. The driver (found out was the owner) was extremely pleasant, friendly, conscientious and took pride in his job. He's the type of person you want to write positive reviews about. I'm not "throwing Uber under the bus" it's just that I'd rather support the local "Mom/Pop" shops that need, deserve and invest in their Taxi service, wanting to make a difference. You won't be disappointed.

In our return trip I was able to contact them and change our arrival time at the airport. Their driver, Emerson, texted and called me me to let me know exactly where he would pick us up. This was most helpful as there were many other vehicles as other people also being picked up. I must say it couldn't have been any smoother.

We had…read morearranged with Raj to pick us up at 5 a.m. for 6:30 a.m. boarding at SFO for our 7 a.m. flight to Seattle. At 4:58 we stood outside waiting. At 5 we called Raj and the call went to voice mail. We left a message. We called twice more, but both times no answer, just voice mail. By 5:15 it became clear he wasn't going to show up. The drive to SFO from our place takes between 35 and 45 minutes, so we got in our car and headed for the airport, discouraged and upset. At 5:37 a.m. Raj called to apologize, saying his alarm didn't go off. We were already on19th Avenue in San Francisco by this time. I feel I need to add what our experience was once we reached the airport. We had to find Long Term Parking for the first time, park, walk to the Air Train, wait for it to arrive, ride15 minutes to the Terminal, go through Security, where my husband's bag was gone through, then walk as fast as our legs would take us to the very last B gate, probably a quarter-mile, hauling our bags because there had been no time to check them. We made it to Gate B21 literally two minutes before the gate was to close. Our stress level by this time was off the charts. I will not be calling Raj again.

I called Marco's, the dispatcher tells me the limo has been sitting "in front of my house" for 20 minutes. I tell him that I am standing in front of my house and that there is definitely no limo. He then reads back "my address" and it's off by 5 blocks. Oddly enough nobody thought to call me upon arrival of the limo or after the first 10 or so minutes. After an uneventful ride to my destination, I am getting ready to pay and the driver quotes me a price that's $20.00 more than the dispatcher had told me (again, this is after re-confirming all details of this trip TWICE). I am in no mood to bargain with this guy, so I just paid and went to my event. Next time I'll make sure to pay by credit card...at least this way I get to dispute the charge. (Definitely paying by credit card!)
