Everything here absolutely lovely, a treat. It's a little hamlet of roses next to the Japanese Garden and inside the Central Park, which is turning out to have an embarrassment of riches. No dearth of seating, I sat on several of the benches and marveled at the sight: red and white, pink and yellow roses everywhere with beautiful bees hovering around them, plus lilac flowers on the perimeter, of which I don't know the name. I used to live in a house with a backyard full of bees and we have a mutual understanding: I don't 'bother' them and encroach and they don't sting me :-) It felt incredible to gaze out at this bevy, and a huge heartfelt filled with gratitude shout-out to all the volunteers who lend their knowledge and energy and green thumb, time and efforts in maintaining this wonder! :-)

I did not realize how intense the games can get, and am still hoping to win one day. They also offer affordable Wednesday night dinners that are catered and the drinks are cheap ($2 beers). The cost for Foster City residents is $156 per hour and non-residents is $208 per hour. You can rent part of the center for a lower cost as well. We had food catered in and was able to keep most of the trays warm in the oven while we served some of them. We scheduled a walkthrough a few days before the party and provided details on how we wanted the tables to be set-up. Parking is plenty as this center is where Leo J Ryan Park is. This venue is going to be one of the top on our list of venues for future party/gathering needs.

Whether you're craving American, Italian, salads, or something quick and easy, the club is often a better option than going out. It's less crowded, the staff is friendly, and service is quick -- perfect for families. During the off months, they open up the Terrace cafe for kids and children with activities there so the parents can enjoy finishing dinner while they play XBox, color, or games with monitored lifeguards there. The Wellness Center is another standout. It's clean, modern, and fully equipped. I actually canceled my Equinox membership because the club's gym and fitness classes meet all my needs. They offer yoga, TRX, cardio dance, barre, and more -- truly something for everyone. The locker rooms are great as well, and having a personal locker has made it easy and convenient to keep my gear at the club. PGCC recently added new pickleball courts, and they've quickly become one of the most popular social spots. They bring a fresh, active vibe to the club and help break the old stereotype of country clubs being stuffy or outdated. The club still maintains a traditional dress code, but I appreciate it -- it creates boundaries, preserves the elevated feel of the environment, and teaches our kids about manners, respect, and etiquette. The grounds are beautiful, the facilities are well kept, and the overall experience is consistently excellent. If you're looking for a family‑friendly, active, community‑oriented country club with events and amenities for all ages, PGCC is absolutely worth checking out!

The setup features a rotating lineup of three to four food trucks--which you can easily check on their website ahead of time--alongside beer and wine on tap (though my husband notes that beer connoisseurs might find the tap list a bit underwhelming). While the indoor space is quite large, it is fairly dark, so we highly prefer visiting when the weather is nice. Sitting outside at their picnic tables is a fantastic experience. It's a wonderful, laid-back community spot that we highly recommend for a casual get together. They also seem to have themed events and live music at times.
